Love
My go-to for all of my hand embroidery projects!

Great for sewing knits as well as embroidery!
I use this Solvy mostly for garment sewing, specifically, for sewing garments of thin or lightweight knit fabric. I prefer to sew my knit leggings and shorts, especially athletic wear, with a lightning bolt stitch, then finish the seam on my serger because it makes an indestructible seam. Thin knits have an annoying habit of being sucked down the hole on my sewing machine. Just put a thin strip of solvy under the knit and that eliminates the problem entirely. It tears off easily and any bits that are left wash out later. It's also useful for making rolled hems on the serger. It is also a good washable stabilizer for machine embroidery, although I don't use it as much for that. But it is a lifesaver for sewing cool, lightweight knit garments on the sewing machine!

The product does it's job
The product does its job, it's just not 100% what I was hoping for. I do hand embroidery on darker fabrics (that I can't trace on) so I need something to transfer the image on. After I wash it off with water, it is very hard to get everything off. Not bad enough that I won't use it again, but not a perfect product for what I need.

For Embroidery
I bought this to use for embroidery and while I mistakenly thought this was the adhesive sort, it is not but will still work for other embroidery projects. I haven’t used any other brands so I can’t compare to others but it works well enough to continue using and purchase more when I run out.

Good value.
I used it to print pictures on to put in melt & pour soap. Did great.

Tears easily
This was more like paper so a little difficult to work with. It ripped easily. The paper wouldn’t rinse off where the ink was behind the embroidery thread. I am going to try one that is more fabric like.

Dissolves well as paper soap!
I used this to make paper soap, so I can’t review based on its “proper” use. But it holds up well to the initial handling, which means I can manipulate it while damp with the liquid soap (Dr. Bronners). It also dissolves well and cleanly. I don’t need to spend a lot of time to dissolve it when washing my hands and it doesn’t leave residue or a mess in the sink.
