Conducted ambient test, 400 upto 1000 degree F My self before installing over the engine of Diesel RV. Glue melted but the foil didn't even loose it's shine. This is safe near extreme heat .

Thermal Wrap Helps Deflect Radiant Heat
Good product when used within its limits. The material is rather thin, sort of equivalent to disposable aluminum baking pan gauge metal with super sticky flypaper on the back side. You can apply it to surfaces that you'd like to help deflect heat, but DO NOT allow it to directly rest upon the hottest parts of the engine or exhaust; RADIANT heat is deflected, but CONTACT HEAT will damage lots of materials, even if the damage is gradual. The material tends to curl onto itself when you peel off the adhesive revealer paper, so peel slowly and in warm environments. GLOVES are helpful to keep from polluting the adhesive. If you cut two pieces and stick it adhesive-to-adhesive, you can create a pretty thick shield that you may then wrap around critical tubes/wire bundles closer to the engine and provide maximum thermal protection. Secure in place with stainless steel zip ties for best results!

Folded, not a roll of reflective material!
The product was folded into the package in the picture! From the pictures in the listing I assumed it would be on a roll with no creases! The product will work fine, but it is not visually appealing! The listing is ambiguous! Sheet equals folded with creases

Bought these to protect lines under hood
I wrapped my cold AC line with these to make sure I get the coldest temperature possible. I also wrapped my fuel lines with these just for an added comfort.

Great stuff!
Great stuff. Sticks very well to clean plastic. Also very thin, which is nice when tolerance is very close. Should work great for any project you have when you need to make your own heat shield or barrier.

Worked great for our stove
We had to put our stove next to a wall work line no Clarence super tight . We wanted to feel safe when the oven and stove top was on ! This is perfectThank you

Works amazing
I put this on a temporary panel outside of some ladder bookcases that are 6" from my emergency back up wood stove and the surface is cool to the touch. Prior to installing it the shelves got really hot so that's why I added a barrier. Works amazing. Super sticky and rolled out easy with a squeegee on the rough side of melamine. No odor too!

Good Price For A Handy Product.
Used it to replace a metal heat shield that rusted out and fell off. It sticks to clean/dry metal and plastic, but otherwise it doesn't adhere well. I ended up using duct tape (the shiny kind with plastic backing) around the perimeter of the pad to make sure it stays in place.

seems good
Only issue is it comes folded and is tricky to install if you are doing the whole sheet. I used this to line the walls of my built in oven, The clearance was lower than the minimum posted by the manufacturer, so I drilled holes adjacent to the wall into the air space below for better venting, and fixed this stuff to the walls. It was impossible to remove creases, but it so thin it did not matter, its very sticky, but I stapled the 4 corners just to be safe

Reduces heat absorption significantly
This heat reflective film works great, applied it to my intake tube (plastic) which is about 2 inches away from my exhaust manifold. Very noticeable difference in the temperature of the intake tube, significantly cooler. Hopefully it lasts awhile. Easy to cut and apply, thin fibre glass mesh with a aluminum foil reflective film.

I Like it
I like this product so far. As I just installed it, I cannot comment on it’s longevity. Installation was smooth. Heated up the piece first and used spray adhesive where it was being applied. Also used a heat gun on low during application to help while pressing and moulding. I used this product over top of my truck firewall insulation where it had torn and over some of the front wheel well near manifolds. Time will tell how long and how effective it will be. Fingers crossed 🤞

Clean surface with alcohol , let surface dry then apply heat shield for good adhesion.
It seems to work well, it reflects the radiant heat well.

Fancy foil
Installed on a heat shield on motorcycleIt is important to clean surface with cleaner for proper adhesion
