It is designed to protect modern tabletops from medium heat, stains and scratches.The material itself will start to deform at about 90 degrees centigrade and will protect modern tabletops to about 80 degrees centigrade.Do not believe those who says it protects higher than this. It simply does not. It is heat resistant and protects against hot plates and bowls. The top is waterproof and protects against spills.The soft felt underlay protects against scratches. But please note its limitations: (1) It is not stain proof. (2) Never place hot plates directly from hob, grill or oven. If in doubt use a table mat. (3) Never store with the embossed side directly onto the tabletop for any length of time. (4) This is not suitable for older, soft or French Shellacs that can melt at under 50 degrees centigrade. (5) Not suitable for washing or tumble drying. Do not iron.

Good Quality
I bought the table protector for my dining table, so it would not get scratched, as my table is used quite a lot. I measured the table protector to the size I needed. The table protector was easy to cut with my tailoring scissors. These are shape scissors so I would advise anyone to use something quite shape to be able to cut through the material. I did find it easy to cut and looks great on the dining table. I have covered the table protector with a table cloth. My table is now ready to use.

Looks great for the price
I bought mine to cover a new and expensive induction hob when it's not in use, so I needed just a small piece. I have enough left to cover/protect a folding table. I am very pleased with this purchase, as it is softer and easier to manage than other table protectors I have. It arrived quickly, and was well-packaged, and should I need any more, I wouldn't hesitate to buy from this company.

Product exactly as described
I really like this product. It is light yet substantially made. It was easy to cut to the size of my oval table and will protect the varnished surface from accidental spills or drum practise by my young grandchildren ! It will also protect the table from hot dishes. The service from the company is speedy and efficient. Many thanks.

Excellent as a car boot liner
I have recently bought a new estate car and regularly use it to carry golf clubs and gear which get the load-space muddy. The table protector acts as an excellent lining - it can be bought with any dimensions and easy to cut to shape using the removable boot cover as a template. The black colour looks good and is easy to shake out and wipe clean. It came folded but straightened out very quickly.

, unpleasant smell dissipating leaving a sturdy, thick protective cover to do its job.
I used this to go on a glass topped circular table under the tablecloth. It is fine, just a little larger than the table but that's not an issue as in some ways the edge us better protected. It has a strong plastic smell but that is dissipating with time. This is the reason not 5 stars.

Does the job
The table protector is the exact diameter of my table and does the job nicely in saving my good table from the 3 very young granddaughters (and careless grown-ups!). I have to admit, though, it isn't as thick as previous protectors that I've had. Not to worry - it is adequate for my needs.

Perfect fit
Love this - size is exact, it looks good on its own and also stops my tablecloth from sliding. Decent thickness and stops spills from spreading (the pattern seems to hold it into a finite space. Glad I bought this.

It does exactly what it suppose to do.
I am please with this table protector. I have just bought a new dining room set. And I find the table protector is excellent. Stops it from getting scratched etc or having hot drinks on it. I take it off when the table is not in use.
