Fantastic mirror for my one ton dually truck-seems like it doubled my rear view mirror viewing area. Good for a low price mirror- some minor blemishes on the mirror itself- I believe from packaging and shipping(mirror rubbing against the plastic)

This mirror is great. It takes a little getting used to, but it increases your view and helps with blind spots.

The description did not indicate that this mirror is curved, thereby giving a "fun-house mirror" distortion to the rear view. I previously purchased an extended rearview mirror via Amazon which is flat and affords a wonderful, undistorted view. I wish I could return this one (which was a gift to our son whose time overseas was extended)) because as soon as we tried to use it, realized how the terrible distortion from being a curved mirror is a complete joke and of no use to anyone wishing to adequately see without distortion. This item is an entire waste of money since by the time our son got home and tired it, the return time had lapsed.

It looks very well made. For an suv, it is the right size (eg: my Pilot); for a car it's too big. First thing you see is the faces of everyone riding with you, then of course the blind spots. The only complaint I have is that the size of objects outside your vehicle look very small, so for example a car approaching from far would be too small you woudn't even notice it unless you are staring at it and would come fast at your mirror and dissapear as it passes you by. It's not like your normal mirrors show you cars you can see and locate with the tail of your eyes. You really have to study your surroundings. Good for people who are very aware of the background all the time.

Real easy to install and stays perfectly put. However adds some mass and inertia to the mirror it hangs from and thereby amplified vibrations coming through from the car’s suspension and thereby makes the view a little blurry in a car with stiff suspension on imperfect roads. I wish there was a shape to the middle part of the mirror to magnify the middle field to see distant objects better, but the whole view is quite similarly scaled.

It is difficult to find wide mirrors that fit tall rear view windows, but this was one of few that met that need. It also did better than most with the common funhouse mirror distortion problem, but is still a bit disconcerting that way. It's possible to design one that is not - my earlier wide mirror had no distortion but unfortunately it didn't fit my window (2006 Toyota Avalon) although it DID fit the window of my earlier car (2003 Toyota Avalon). Brand name? Hard to say. It's got a logo that looks like maybe the letters L Y inside a diamond shape on its side and it says Made in Taiwan.

So distorted anything beyond your backseat is indecipherable

It gives more info on traffic on highway. Easy to install.
