Works great for Facebook streaming
Needed a way to stream audio from a sound board with mics and musical instruments running into an older iPad with a headphone jack to stream our church services onto Facebook while leaving the lightning port open for charging. Works likes a charm, also easily fed audio into my iPhone 13 with the iRig TRRS plugged into an Apple lightning connector into the lightning port of the phone.

NOT YOUR DADDY’S STOMP BOX!!!
I’ve wanted an iRig for a very long time but just never had an excuse to get one. I finally just went ahead and got it. Nice product and a decent price point. Caveat, I bought the one that is labels digital. This model won’t work with a trrs plug, that I know of , but has plenty of connection opportunities just like it is. If you are wanting an analog solution, get that version. Bundled software is pretty good, there are a plethora and probably better software out there. Sound quality is excellent as well overall construction feel of the box! Overall? Seems to do the trick!

Does not work on iPhone14
I do have this working on my iPad 4th generation, which has a headphone jack (3.55mm port). It will not work on the iPhone14 which only has a lightning port.I did buy the recommended Apple lightning to 3.55mm adapter, but it still did not work. All the videos into iPhones only have the headphone jacks. For now, my iPad is fine, would preferred to have it work on my iPhone instead.

Portable interface that works with Logic Pro for iPad
The media could not be loaded. It works perfectly with Logic Pro for iPad, I used for a few gigs and I like that all of my gear (iRig, iPad, 2 cables) fits in the pocket of my guitar case. The only nit is when using my Bluetooth headphones as the output from Logic Pro there’s a noticeable latency lag, but when I use wired EarPods it works perfectly.

Does not work
How can you know it's actually recording correctly? I recorded my dj set last night. It was 1.5 hours total. For the first 26 minutes it was recording the ambient sound as if nothing was plugged in and sudenly out of nowhere it starts (correctly) recording from the mixer. Did not touch or adjust anything. Why would it do this? How can you double check the audio is correct while it's recording?Update: this continually does not recognize that it's plugged in and you wind up recording the ambient noise in the room and not the input for the iRig. I have no clue how to fix this. Has ruined many live recordings.

My tone is better than going through a Marshall!
I purchased this to use with Amplitube on the iPad. Aside from minor signal interferences that you can't hear when you play, this thing is awesome! You can add gain to your guitar just using the iRig 2 and adjust your headphone level on it. I get a better tone using this and Amplitube than I do out of my JCM 800 amplifier. It's not built with the best possible materials, but it's not super cheap either. It should hold up if you take care of it. It's really nice that you can play through it to Amplitube and then out into an amp. Great for amps that don't sound the best or for a PA input. Reccomended!

Great value. Close to the Irig HD 2 with distorted sounds.
I have been playing guitar with a traditional cheap amp for years. Just dealt with it because I didnt have the money to buy expensive amps and get good tones. Then I found ios, tonebridge, interfaces and sims... Game changer...Let me say, before I tried this, I was convinced that interface tech needed to be powered. Using an analog piece like this to convert signal would just be impossible, would result in either latency or muddied sound... I tried it anyway for portability and trying my iPad with my guitar on tonebridge or garageband for the first time.WOW. I was wrong. This item works much better than expected. Can't believe its only $40 to be honest.Pros:- No latency. This was super surprising to me.- Inexpensive way to get your guitar hooked into an iOS device like an ipad. This unlocks a world of options, amps, and tones (see below).- Sounds fine. With amp sims and aws tools (tonebridge, garageband) you can boost nearly any level/frequency so you can make this piece sound greatCons:-Honestly none. Zero, and I went into this HATING this piece expecting it to fail; it did not.-Could mayyyybe say you wanted a beefier piece, or better tone, but come on, not for $40...Final Impression:If you play traditional guitar and amps and have never tried interfaces and amp sims, this is an eye opening experience, like finding the guitar for the first time all over. Get an ios device, even a $150 ipad, then get this interface (or the irig hd 2, see below). Plug it in and get FREE apps like garageband and Tone bridge, and you will get amps and sounds you NEVER thought possible without thousands of dollars.Note: Also bought the iRig HD 2 to compare. If your sounds have gain/distortion, the difference is actually much more subtle than I expected. The Irig sounds muddier then then HD, but only very slightly. Clean tones there is a more noticeable difference. I went with the Irig HD 2 because I am willing to spend 100$ vs 40$ for any little bit of clarity, but if I was on a tight budget, the Irig 2 would work fine.
