2004 tundra tailgate, do these fit in the latch mechanism or the tail gate handle mechanism?

They didn’t fit my 2004 Tundra. They were to big to fit in the hole of the mechanism. Mine are purple and red. I returned them and can’t get any help finding the correct ones.
