FILA Accessories 08-63266 Pilates Kit

I got this and another couple sets from Fila and am happy with all of them. They compliment each other, IMO. And since you can stack the bands to make them harder I find them good for lots of people in my house to use.

I got this in exchange for my honest review. This is a nice beginner set. The core reformer is nice for core work from the floor. I have other bands and had one slip off my foot while doing crunchs and left a black and blue mark. Little chance of that happening with this. The center hub can get in the way when doing overhaead stretches but not a deal breaker. It also takes a bit to figure out the setup as to which bands go together. Again not a deal breaker but can interrupt your workout pace. The flat bands are nice and long and seem to be well made. Easy to double or triple them up if needed. I dont use these in a lot of excercises but the ones I do need them for are much more effective with these than trying to use a tube band or a thick band. The ball is kinda odd. I tried a couple of the recommended moves and really didnt like the way the ball felt. Maybe over time I will get used to the ball. On another note the grandkids love playing with the ball and have kinda taken it over as their toy. This is a nice beginner set and really the only thing missing is a bag to put everything into.

This set gives a wide range of options in my exercise routine and makes it easy to flow from one to another. Strong and durable and easy to pack away to take along with you.

The core reformer is the main 'new' tool in this set that I was excited to try. I wanted something I can do quickly at home, without much fuss. I like the idea of some of the core stretches but find them hard to do correctly with the reformer. You have to be the right height/size to achieve optimal resistance and stretch. I find some of the positioning risky without knowing whether the plastic disc will hold against all the pressure. I fear it snapping off in my face, so I find myself holding back on some moves. The 2 flex bands do work fine. They're standard and easy to use. I didn't find any issue with the ball, but don't find it necessary to achieve the moves.

I always equated FILA before I got this. The pack contains five items for a Pilates-style workout. A Core Reformer, a small ball and two resistance bands.On the first use, one loop of the Core Reformer, which is the cloverleaf-shaped item, snapped out of the centerpiece on the second pull of one of the exercises in the enclosed pamphlet. Fortunately, my hand was positioned so the loop missed snapping into my face.I looked on the box for a customer service number, but all I found was a page saying that these products have no warranty attached to it. I then submitted a question on this page asking if there was a way I could fix the Core Reformer, but after two days, there is still no answer.The ball arrives deflated, so if you do not have an inflator of some type, you have to get one. It's a very small ball.The only things I've been able to use are the resistance bands. So far they seem to be okay. But after what happened with the Core Reformer, I inspect the bands closely before each use.I'm super unhappy with this product.

I was so excited to get this kit since years ago I had a personal pilates trainer and got a lot out of it. Sadly the reformer in this kit has such incredibly tight tension that it is impossible to do the exercises as shown on the paper. Perhaps it I were three feet tall and the bands didn't have to stretch so far it might have worked, but there was no way they were going to stretch nearly eight feet (from feet to my arms extended over my head). They give provide no directions about to what size you are supposed to inflate the ball, they just warn that it shouldn't be overinflated or it will pop. I found that at the size it needed to be it was far too soft to be useful. The enclosed stretch band was a typical band so there wasn't anything wrong with it. But overall this set was disappointing. The design for reformer is pretty ingenious, but they failed on execution.

I love this little kit, was exactly what I wanted to add to my growing collection of exercise equipment. The bands are perfect. Everything in the kit is very well made. So glad I decided to give these a go!

Exercise equipment used to be so inexpensive and now it is so price. This set is $40 on Amazon.I am only reviewing the flower and bands as I cannot find anyone with a working bicycle pump to fill the ball.I know that I need to cross-fit because I am at the point in my weight loss that I am starting to look heavy simply because I have spare tire weight. The flow contraption is too hard for me to use standing up. My BFF, who is beast fit, was able to lift the band with no problem. I can only do the floor exercises that come with the book. They are fairly simple as I am older and have had some skeletal issues. I did enjoy doing the floor exercises. I really like the bands. I have found that I really don't like the bands with the handles. When I have my lifting gloves on, the bands work just fine. As for the quality, I did not feel like they were going to snap in my face at any point, which is a good thing. The only thing I didn't like about the flower was that even after using it for only a few minutes without gloves, it left a smell on my hands that lasted several hours, we're talking hand washing and lotion and it still stayed.
