Very good. Threads need lubrication
They’re perfect for reggae. However, all the lug and bolt threads should come with some kind of lubrication so that the threads don’t strip (I used Wd-40) especially the wing nut that secures the rectangular bar mount from sliding back and forth.I thought the heads were not gonna last me long because I hit so hard, but so far they’ve held up. I might switch to normal remo heads later. The sound is excellent, they sound a bit like timbales and have a great attack and short decay which I love. I’ve had no trouble with rotating them to pitch them, although you have to use one hand to hold the bar mount in place and one to rotate the drums (this is why it needs some kind of lubrication). They came out of the box in tune. Easy to setup and quite a durable stand; they don’t budge when I hit them. Very good value for price.

Great Drum Kit Addition
The media could not be loaded. I've had these for a year and a half. Used them at a couple of gigs and they are a great, sturdy, easy addition to the kit. For a while I was holding out for the brand name, but am so glad I went for these. Some have said in reviews that they replace the heads immediately. I used the orignal heads, then replaced them with Remo pinstripes recently to match my kit heads. So far I don't hear much difference. Video shows original heads. I also purchased a Pearl extension arm to give me some adjustment flexibility, but that's just personal preference. I've had a couple relatives or friends pick some up since hearing these on my kit. Really fun and cool way to add more voices to the kit, and worth the money, too.

Pleasantly Surprised : )
I was looking for a set of Roto Toms and i noticed that Remos were now $426 with tax .... and i thought that was just absolutely ridiculous. I used to own a set of Remos and there IS NO WAY that they are a $426 piece of musical equipment.I came on Amazon looking for a decent set of " Affordable " Rotos. There were 3 that i saw. One decided to suddenly raise their price 3x in a week , so they priced themselves right out of any possible sale. Their reviews weren't that great either. The other just had eh ratings. Now to the GAMMONS !!! I've heard of this brand before and i know that they are a decent intermediate drum company. Their Rotos got good ratings and from the pictures they just looked like better quality than the other 2 to me.They arrived earlier than expected. The box had one corner smashed in ( no surprise there with FED EX .... THE WORST delivery company on the planet ) Anyway, luckily no damage. Inside the main box all components were nicely wrapped in plastic and in smaller individual boxes.I noticed right away that everything looked very good quality. I took everything out and put the whole thing together and tuned them in 15 minutes. They come in 5 pieces. I had absolutely NO ISSUES with parts not fitting or stripped screws .... or anything for that matter. Very easy !!!As far as the sound goes .... i think they sound great. Just as good as Remos. The double braced legs are VERY sturdy. I wiggled the Rotos back and forth etc. and they didn't budge. Each leg is actually wider (metal edge to metal edge) than any double braced leg i have ever seen. The way that the rail attaches to the stand is an excellent design as well. Much better than the horrible design of the Remo rail attachment.I was overall very pleasantly surprised and pleased by the OVERALL QUALITY and SOUND of these. Honestly, i wasn't expecting that much from these Rotos.... and after some reviewers complained about the sound and / or head quality .... I have to say that i think they sound great and unless you're hitting the heads with baseball bats , i see them holding up very well. The best part ..... THE PRICE !!!!!!!!$140 BUCKS WITH TAX !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!And as i previously stated in this review , i think that these are 100% compatible to the Remos in sound and i think that these Rotos are put together better and more solid than Remos.Buy these ... you won't be disappointed : )

An excellent deal for the money. Great for adding to a drum set.
A good accessory to add size and accents to a drum set. They sound good out of the box, and the stand is amazingly well built. Only thing I don't like about my set is... I've got to dis-assemble my and try to lube the threads or something. You are supposed to turn the the drum to make different pitches. Well, only my smallest operates easily, the middle one is so/so, and the big one... for now I have to tune with a tuning key.

Great quality, ease of setup, sound, portability. Can’t recommend this set more.

Absolute perfection!
Hands down the best smack for your buck. Extremely simple setup, easy to tune and the skins/heads that come with are quite nice. Sizes are perfect for that inner linking combination. The quality and durability are on point for the pricing. 6.5 star's.

Nice Drums
These roto-toms are very much like the Remo version only cheaper. They seem to be well made and sturdy. They sound good and have been a joy to play. I am thinking about painting the frames black to match the rest of my drums. I wish they came in black although the gray is neutral. I definitely recommend.

This is a $500 piece of equipment
This is a sturdy combination of drums and stand. ALL of the materials are high quality. From the drum heads down to the rubber feet on the stand…everything is extremely well made. There is a similar item on Amazon for about $10 less, but it does not include the critical “spin to tune” function. In my opinion, the stand/hardware is worth around $100, so the value here is excellent. No problem assembling. Adjusting the height and angle of the unit is a breeze.I love these roto toms!!!!
