Very few fruits mature
Grows great and takes up very little space in garden. Has TONS of flowers and fruits but very few mature most rot and fall off vine a week after flower drops. I grew 2 plants indoors in fabric pots, maybe 20 immature fruits between the two. Only 2 fruits, one each matured. All others. Dropped off. Planted 3 plants in my outside garden. Only 2 mature fruits out of those 3. Planted 2 at my son's school and none produced mature fruits. Between those 7 plants I estimate there was close to 100 immature fruits that fell off the vine. I hand pollinated my indoor plants and still had really poor luck.To be fair to burpee however I have very very few bees in my garden. Ive planted tons and tons of flower but don't get any bees. I know the subdivision behind me sprays for mosquitoes. That may be a factor.. Plants themselves grew phenomenal and germinated very quickly (3 days indoors). Just never got mature fruits. Will not plant again next year.Update: grew like crazy at my son's school garden. Must need FULL sun not full sun.

Still eating the fabulous squash we harvested Autumn 2018
I grow buttercup squash every year. This was our first year in our new state (Nevada) and I was hopeful that these would grow as well as they did in the Midwest. They were wonderful -- I harvested many, many squash -- used them to make pies and for side dishes. Sweet and rich tasting, easy to grow.

Great germination
All seeds planted germinated. Plants are vigorous and it appears at least 2 squash on each vine so far. According to a friend who grew these they have very good flavor and one squash is perfect for 2 people for a meal. Mine aren't to the ripe stage yet but can't wait to try these.

Not really Butterbush seeds
Seems to be regular butternut squash seeds, but plants are doing well

Alkaline soil tolerant
These squash plants did real well in my high desert high alkaline soil and was watered with 1800 ppm hard water. I yielded about 10 squash from 2 plants. I kept 3 and gave 7 away to friends. and they were delicious. The ones pictured are all that are left that were harvested last fall, (October 2019).
