This thing is heavy duty. I imagine this is really built for a professional touring musician. I use it at a practice studio and it feels like overkill to me. If I used a laptop in live settings, I imagine this would be perfect, but I just use it to rehearse.

This stand is built like a German tank. The amount of steel used to build this thing alone makes it worth its weight. I use it next to my drum set for my laptop and it is rock solid and looks the part without detracting from the drums thanks to Meinl for not using too much chrome. This is a well thought out product and although probably the most expensive laptop stand out there, no others would compare in quality.

Sturdiest and best stand out there. Nothing beats it.
