Good product. Child feels safer now
Good quality, and it’s good material also washableThe thing is; it has to be tight of course because if not it can fell off but better to double check head size as it can feel very adjusted it only gives you +-1cm or less

Helped my wife safe
I bought this for my wife who had dementia and loved to walk and walk all around the house. After a fall that that could have resulted in a blow to the head, I started a quest for something she would tolerate wearing. Well, she absolutely loved wearing her “Storelli.” It served its purpose more than once.

Doesn’t look like goofy head gear just looks like a headband.
Doesn’t look nearly as bad as we thought it would. It essentially just looks like a headband.

Protect your kid's brain, they'll probably need it later
My 9-year old daughter started field hockey this year. At the beginner level it's really just a bunch of kids crowding around and looking down at the ball, so not unusual for kids to knock heads. I'm a pediatrician and a bit of a worry-wart in general, so probably more conscious than most about concussions and neurological development. There is a lot of concerning data, most notably that the risk of suicide in teenagers is significantly increased in kids who have had 2 concussions in the previous year.Virginia Tech has done an extensive set of tests and ratings for headgear. I went through all of their 4 and 5 star ratings and the Storelli was the best in terms of price, protection, and looks. A kid wearing this headband who takes a conk on the head is expected to be 84% less likely to get a concussion than a kid not wearing anything at all.It does have to stretch out a bit and the kid'll have to get used to it. I found the sizing off the website to be pretty accurate. After it stretches, it looks just like a bit of a bulky headband and is tough to notice especially if your kid has longer hair that just goes over it. All in all, very happy with the purchase and consider it well worth it to protect my daughter's brain.

Sizes not accurate
I ordered a size 4 like I measured my head, but it was much too small. I had to order a size 6 to fit my head at 21.75" at the biggest point. Size six will work well for ice skating

Looks cool and hopefully protects my kids
Looks cool and hopefully protects my kids. Told the coaches if they wanted my kid to play he had to wear it. Had issues with a few coaches making fun of the headband saying it would affect heading, didn't really work, etc....one of the coaches boasted that in his 40 years playing he only cracked his skull once...that is once too many for me. Looked into protective head gear when we played a team that made it mandatory for all players. Storelli does a great job at having a stylish piece that is protective. Others look like something a wrestler would use (orthodontic head gear-esque) and others look too small to be an effective deterrent.Aside from protection it is practical. I love that I can throw it into the washer and dryer, it comes out smelling clean and like new. I have three boys ages 13-16, they have been wearing the Storelli ExoShield for the last 3 years. No problems heading, etc. Biggest problem has been dealing with coaches and the stigma from that...boys want to impress the coaches, as teens they don't care so much about the parents, so? I reminded the coaches that this item may protect my child, if he isn't wearing it because of a coach's comment and gets injured I will be coming after said coach...Yes, it is that bad. Meanwhile: Other parents always ask me where to buy, etc. Be the trend setter. In my opinion, they look cool and intimidating, all while protecting you. Would be nice for the coaches to get on board and maybe even have a player endorsement or two. I think that it will be as synonymous with soccer as shin guards and cleats...it should be.

I was worried this would be super tight, but I decided to order the largest ...
I ordered this for figure skating. I measured my head at 24 inches, the very top of the sizing chart. I was worried this would be super tight, but I decided to order the largest size (6) anyway. It is pretty snug when I first put it on, but after half an hour of working up a sweat I'm almost worried it might slip off. After an hour on the ice I've totally forgotten it's on my head and have sometimes not noticed until I've got my skates off that I'm still wearing it. Seems like a great compromise between a bulky helmet and no protection at all, and it also keeps my long-ish hair out of my face while skating.

Don't be fooled by this overpriced snake oil!
Why this thing is $60 is beyond me! The price point is about 30-40 dollars too high. It should be about 20-30 at most. Non-adjustable and bad color since black absorbs heat. This is definitely a false sense of security. This thing would not prevent or reduce the likelihood of a concussion. It even has their disclaimer stating so in the package and head band itself.Concussions occur by the brain hitting the interior of the skull, thus causing bleeding and swelling. This thin cushion on this headband will do virtually nothing to protect. Hence, their disclaimer. This is equivalent to putting a towel on your front bumper and going 20 miles an hour into a wall and expecting it to not have any damage after impact.Ever seen or had a real football helmet in your hands? It has a hard shell plus about 2 inches of dense foam material lining it. Concussions happen all the time in football even with these on. Why? Because the brain inside the skull still is moving on a sudden stop impact, this striking the skull causing the damage. Protecting the outside with less than an inch of foam does realistically nothing for the brain to be protected. If you buy this expensive product, you are pretty much buying false hopes and security. Snake oil!
