Dr Slick dubbing whirl
Dr Slick makes quality tools. I particularly like this dubbing wheel’s weight and short compact design- many other dubbing tools have a long handle which limits the size of the dubbing loop you can make (a long handle hits the tying desk when hanging a loop from a hook held in the vise).

Works like advertised.
Always been pleased with Dr. Slicks products. Used several different dubbing twisters over the years. These are my favorite. Never had an issue with these ever. I like that they are short as I can control them better than the long ones. Balanced and very easy to spin.

Dr. Slick proven products,
Twirl tool came exactly as they said. Love the weight and if you like a heavier twirling tool for your dubbing this is it. Add on to it the name Dr. Slick so you know you are dealing with a well known company.

Works as intended, sort of.
This is my first dubbing twister, so my experience is a bit limited, but this is cheaply built, but does do its job. The biggest gripe I have is the distance between the hooks. When twisting up a dubbing loop, it would be nice if the hooks could be pulled together to get a nice tight rope all the way to the bottom. I did know it was fixed when I bought it, so there's that, but I will be looking for something different for long term. MEH... I'd spend a little more on a different design if you spend alot of time in front of your vise like i do. IF it is just an occasional use tool, then it's probably ok.

A good buy on a dubbing twister
I have tied flies since 1970. I have tried other dubbing twisters but found most of them too large and awkward to handle easily. This dubbing twister is small but does a great dubbing noodle and handles well in the wrapping process. AvidMax got my order to me within two days and shipping was free. Price was right on this product too.
