Del Monte Ketchup - 24 oz - 6 pk

I'm a senior and this ketchup reminds me of when I was growing up

I grew up with DelMonte products in the northern Sacramento Valley where there were fields of tomatoes, melons, tons of vegetables and orchards of other fruits and nuts. We had fruit warmed from the sun and bought in wooden crates. As a child I would eat a large tomato warmed by the sun like an apple after rinsed off. It was a delightful time with delicious fruit, vegetables and nuts.

Since the pandemic, stores near us stopped carrying Del Monte ketchup (lots of other things too). Tried many brands and found them all to be too thick, over spiced, and some just weird. Del Monte compliments what you use it on. It does not hi Jack it completely (Ahem…Heinz ). I want to taste my burger, I want to taste my fries… I don’t want feel like I just threw back a few shooters of ketchup.

For some reason it is almost impossible to find Del Monte Ketchup in grocery stores in or around Lakeland Florida. So in desperation I ordered it from Amazon. The per bottle price was at least twice the price I would expect to pay in a grocery store. The product is excellent. Has a much better flavor that Heinz. I have certain recipes that call for ketchup and Del Monte is always the go to choice for me. I am told Wal-Mart carries Del Monte ketchup, but I just hate going into that filthy place. So I bite the bullet.

The ketchup itself is the best. Not sure why it is not in stores anymore. Not in Safeway, Kings, or Walmart around here, anyway. Delivery was unusually late and caps on 2 of the six bottles were broken indicating some rough handling. The 5 stars are for the product itself, not the handling.

Thank goodness I found this katsup, don’t know why all of a sudden can no longer find in central North Carolina, have used this for 50 yrs, I read one comment on internet the new generation does not like bottle shape, have to actual lift up and turn upside down, I call that lazy, Del Monte items was required in my moms kitchen, the recipe of your ketchup is the only one that is not so spicy, seems like our grocery stores are catering to Hispanic cuisine
