Trimaco SuperTuff 6 oz thick Utility Weight Canvas Drop Cloth, 12-feet x 15-feet

I bought a total of six of these 12x15 dropcloths - they were advertised as drop cloths, so that is fair. I, like many these days intended to use them as outdoor curtains. The first of the six I opened and used was a very porous fabric and, in fact, perfect for curtains. When I went to the second package - they are a totally different color, very stiff fabric, and again have seams - except for the two ends where there should be seams. They were inexpensive and I get that, but of the several hundred Amazon orders I've placed - this is the first time I feel cheated and that the items were significantly misrepresented.

I bought this to use as a painters drop cloth not a curtain, bedspread, couch cover or rug. I wanted something I could use over and over again, rather than disposable plastic. As with any canvas it gives protection from over spray and small drips of paint. If you spill the bucket, paint will go straight through. It is well made. All the seams are flat felled (stitched like a jeans leg seam for ultimate strength) and it has many seams, hardly surprising as it is huge. The weave is a bit looser than I expected for 'utility' grade. On the other hand given it's size lightweight is probably not a bad thing.I was pleased at how well it washed and dried in my regular sized machine at home.

" The drop cloth is one full piece without seams" THIS IS FALSE DESCRIPTION. mine came with too many seams. will be returning. i also bought a 6oz weight drop cloth from another company and this one is more opaque compared to the other one, although their thinness is prob the same. material is not as stiff as other, which i actually prefer as this material flows more. although disappointing that there are too many seams. i planned to use as curtains but will not work anymore.

Love these! As I read other people's uses of these, I thought I'd try it. Great for covering my couch, just take off and wash. Not stiff canvas, gets softer with washing. Looks like a "wheaty" color of linen, laid back style and comfortable to sit on. I'm getting another to toss over a bed..same conveniences. We have several pets and these are awesome coverings to protect our furniture

Good for draping off things but a bit too thin to be reliable as a dropcloth. Also a bit smelly out of the package

This tarp will handle all three of these tasks with great ease.They are lighter than your normal heavy duty painters canvas tarps but the price reflects that. Used these while doing sheetrpock and painting, no major complaints and perfect for the DIY people out there.I also like this because it isn't as rigid and coarse as the heavy duty items, so they are great for covering furniture. I gave it 4 stars because the description is lacking, so I didn't know how light weight these actually were when I bought them. But plenty ample enough to contain my mess!P.S. It's a tarp!
