These work
I feared getting a mandolin because I knew I would cut my fingers. I had to make 100 tiny cucumber sandwiches and so had to have one. Amazon recommended that I also purchase the gloves. I did. They work amazingly. I haven't used them a lot so I don't know how they will hold up and I have never tested their heat resistance.

A must have for every kitchen
Who actually needs the gaurd to their mandolin? Apparently this girl does. I took a good chunk of my thumb off one day, the next, these gloves were ordered.They are great for accidental cuts. If you are trying to cut through them, you will, they are more for grazing protection.They are comfortable and easy to clean. I think these are a must for every kitchen.

Fortunately I haven’t had to test the safety. They feel nice. Also being reversible is a nice feature.

They work and save my hands
I use these when I'm hand shredding veggies and they definitely save my hands from being shredded too. Well worth the purchase! Save your hands from cuts and mishaps.

Not as thick as I thought it should be
This is a rather large pair of gloves. I have at least a quarter inch of finger space in the fingers which makes it hard to hang onto anything.

A must in the kitchen.
I still have 8 fingers and two thumbs. I purchased a new set of knives from the Amazon I knew I would be needing these gloves with those sharp knives. As a matter of fact I like them so much I bought another pair a week later. I'm doing prep meals and I needed these gloves, A must for safety in the kitchen or elsewhere.

It's not good
I used it to work with cement plastering of wall ...but it cement got into the glove and I was not able to wash it. My hand was also full of cement.
