Normally the cases purchased are quite large and rugged. I needed a smaller case for incidentals I wanted protected on a remote trip where potentials for gear submersion in water is possible. I have ‘sink tested’ this case and it’s waterproof. I like the large caribiner clip. The clip takes up some room but it looks durable enough that I can feel confident redundantly ‘keeper’ clip this unit into an exterior pocket. If you’re new to Pelican and are debating off brand purchase, simply don’t.
