My arcade power supply is 16a 110w 110/220v. someone said they used this for 1up arcade so guessing this will work?

15 Amps must be the DC output. 110W @ 110v is 1 Amp AC input. This will work well. If that is all that is connected you should change the fuse to the rating recommended for the power supply (3 amps maybe).

does the light on the toggle switch light up for 120v? I've heard thats a problem with others, that the light is 250v so it doesn't work with 120v

This comes with 18 ga wires. My project requires 14 ga so i plan to replace the wires. But is the internal wiring of this switch compatible?

You would need to research if 15amp 250 volt should use 14ga wiring. I believe the internals are just plate metal with soldered connections and not wiring. Logic would say if you are running less than 15 amperage and less than 250 volts, you should be fine. Most American stansard outlets are 110-115 volt, but what amperage are you pulling. You'll have to answer that. Again....this is just a best question with information given. Good luck.

Can a higher amp fuse be used in place of the included 5 amp fuse? I would like to use a 6 or 8 amp fuse.

The switch itself is rated for 10 amps @ 125 VAC or 6 amps @ 250VAC. That is why they included a 5 amp fuse. So depending on your input AC voltage no higher than a 9 amp fuse on 125 VAC for safety factor. If you push the rocker switch out of its mount, you will see its ratings molded on the side. If this were just a power socket with no switch then it could handle 15 amps. The switch is the deciding factor here.
