I replaced the builder-grade ball catches of my bathroom doors: original plates had been painted over and balls were rusty. These look nice, work well, and it was a very easy job. I should have done it sooner!

Great product. I measured the old closet door catch and ordered this model. It fit perfectly, is easily adjustable and works like a charm.

This worked exactly as it was designed, but the instructions for installing it were not the greatest. When attaching the strikeplate, it is important to make room for the three "bumps" on the underside of the plate (the two screw holes and the opening within which would sit the ball bearing). I used drill bits and drilled shallow holes for this purpose and it worked very well...but NOTHING was stated about this in the instruction sheet. It did, however, work exactly as I needed it to. I would even say it was a good value. I will likely buy and install more of these.

I purchased these to turn a regular lockable door from my living area to the hallway into just a push to close door. It was very simple to drill the top of the door and install these ball catch hardware. I feel they are very durable, slip resistant, and improved the door openability to make better sense to me. I also have these type ball catch doors on all my closets, and am going to order this brand to replace the existing Ball Catch Hardware. The stainless steel is very attractive and the feel of the Hardware is more heavy duty than the existing. A great buy for sure.

These seem to work pretty well, but the reason for the 3-star review is that I got them for my bathroom doors leading from the master bedroom to the bath area and wanted something quiet. These are definitely not quiet! You can adjust them so the magnets don't slam out and into the top plate by screwing in the back area, but then they don't work quite as well. I could deal with it on one door, because there was still enough space to do that. But on the other door, I didn't have enough space between the top of the door and the top sill where the plate for these goes. If you are not worried about noise, these will work great for you. But if you don't want a loud clack when the magnet slams into the plate, get something else.
