MCWAUTO for VW Car Radio 9 Inch Android 10.0 Media Player Universal Auto GPS Navigation with WiFi Bluetooth Steering Wheel Control Mirrolink

Purchased the unit about a week ago for my VW and here is my experience so far. At first I was reluctant to even consider this item as it had few reviews and no actual user experience info. That should of been my first sign. Price seemed good so I gave it a shot. Overall its not an ok device once you overcome some of the initial issues.Pros:- Compared to other similar devices and spec's on Amazon, it was priced the lowest compared to others.- Replacing the unit was was easy until I ran into a power off issue (see below).- Was able to install apps like Waze after updating play store app.- Fast delivery, had the unit the next day.- Works as described however the device does not have a cd/dvd player.Cons:- Text book definition of a generic radio. That being said, I don't foresee or expect any system updates to be available now or even in the near future. What you see is what you get.- Device would not power off when car was turned off. Eventually figured out on my own after reading reviews of of other similar devices I found on Amazon. Amazon tech support not vendor were able to assist.- Package does not contain any documentation. To get to the user manual, you have to power up the device first.- No technical or wiring diagrams included.- 0 customer support!! Amazon has no info on the device to troubleshoot nor did the vendor. Reached out to vendor who also had no info and needed to reach out to the manufacture; which I am still waiting for almost a week later.- Could not find any info online, manufacture's website.- Device has an car info card which displays some information via CANBUS like external temp, speed, e-brake status (which seems to be reversed/looks like the ebrake is enabled when its not), fuel gauge (which is in metric despite device being set for imperial units).- Running several apps will slow down the device and sometimes feel unresponsive. Then again I never intended to use it like a smart phone or tablet. My needs are modest, GPS and music.- To use voice commands i.e. OK Google etc you will need to install a mic; not included.- Reverse camera works BUT if you apply the power off hack I needed to do, the reverse camera will NOT display until the device is fully booted up. A full boot may take about 30 sec or so dont expect the reverse camera to activate instantly. Its a trade off you need to make. Either have the device on 24/7 and rish draining you car battery or wait a few seconds until the device boots up.- No 5Ghz WiFi. 2.4 Ghz works. Most android devices have had 5 Ghz support for over 4 years now.

Great radio. Touch is responsive and proper. The radio is a great value for the money.
