Identify and neutralize conversion-killing resistance
If Skynet had read this book, the Terminator movies would have ended differently.I'm being facetious, but hear me when I say this: 'Friction Free Sales & Marketing' is an immensely helpful and practical guide to persuasive communication. Although it's a brilliant work of scholarship, it's the most accessible tome on this topic that I've ever come across. And I've read plenty of them (and written one, too). There's nothing sneaky, underhanded or unethical about what Matt writes about here. He simply helps the reader understand and neutralize the resistance that often keeps people from acting in their own best interests.Matt Fox is a top-notch thinker, a truly gifted teacher and a proven sales and marketing expert. This stuff works in real life!As a professional persuader, I enthusiastically recommend 'Friction Free Sales & Marketing' to anyone who'd like to get more yeses, easier.

I highlighted another actionable technique every 2-3 pages...
I've been writing sales copy for nearly 10 years and I still found plenty of new persuasive techniques to use here. In fact, I was literally highlighting actionable steps to take every 2-3 pages. And the worksheets are very helpful, I can see me using these for every sales letter I write.

Take Hold Of Your Presentation By The Smooth Handle With These Aikido Sales Moves
Matt Fox does and excellent job of categorizing human behavior with regards to psychological sales resistance so your marketing and sales job can be easier and more effective. He does a practical job of carefully laying out the types of sales resistance that you are likely to encounter in marketing and sales situations. Then he provides many insightful work-arounds to these resistance barriers. The book is filled with several Aikido / Jiujitsu sales moves, such as "Make them resist their resistance", and other objection eliminating tactics.I liked the worksheets that were periodically provided on the pages. They allowed me to write my own thoughts and reactions to the training, and helped to quickly re-enforce the learning experience. I think you will enjoy these personal note sections as well. The interesting pictures throughout the book supported the taught principals. What did I not like about the book? Nothing.Lastly, Matt used several real life examples which illustrated his points. My recommendation is to buy the book, especially if you are planning on doing any Webinar or video presentation work.5 Stars and Two Thumbs Up.

Practical!
What I especially like about this book is that it takes common sales principles, but organizes them in a way that makes them actionable and logical. If you've been in sales any number of years or you're just really good with people, a lot of the stuff will probably seem like common sense. What's not so common sense though, is how well it's all put together as a methodology. Once you get it all down and get a greater understanding of your own situation with the worksheets, you'll greatly improve your results in getting what you want, whether it be a sale or better communication with your spouse. And if you're new to sales and marketing, then you can't go wrong with any information you'll find in here. Read it, memorize it, and use it until it becomes second-nature and you'll be many times better off than when you started reading it.

Great Persuasion Resource
I'm a sales trainer for a large insurance company. In addition to sales training I teach specific courses on the science of influence and persuasion and I write a blog on the subject. Over the years I've read dozens and dozens of books on persuasion and countless books on sales and marketing. I found Friction Free Sales and Marketing to be well written, engaging and direct. Without fluff Matt gets right to the heart of scientifically proven techniques that can help you increase your marketing effectiveness and sales. As a quick reference I keep a copy of Friction Free Sales and Marketing on my iPhone at all times. It's well worth the investment to read Matt's book.

No pushy sales 'tricks' here - it's about understanding people
As a copywriter, I wanted to see what Matt Fox's book had to offer about resistance in the sales process. I'd highly recommend it.Just looking at the notes I've made (the book includes practical worksheets so you can apply what you've learned as soon as you learn it - great idea) there's at least 8 completely new ways of overcoming resistance I've learned here. That's tremendous value from a low-priced ebook.A couple of things I'll be trying out I knew about but hadn't felt like using before - but Fox reframed them in a way that makes me think they'll be of use to me in my writing (overcoming my resistance!)...And several more are totally new ideas or new ways of seeing things that really sparked something in my mind.Much like Dr Robert Cialdini ("Influence"), Fox isn't interested in helping you become a pushier salesman (nor was I in becoming one!)Instead, it's about working WITH different kinds of resistance you may encounter, and using them to frame your service or offer in a better light.I'd recommend this for copywriters and solopreneurs. If you run a business and would like a well-written insight into your prospective customer's likely objections, and how to overcome them, this is well worth your time.
