Comfortable and tough
Bought these for my wife. We cleaned up an old country cemetery in rattlesnake and copperhead country in southern Oklahoma. She was picking up limbs while I mowed. She said they were comfortable to wear and wore them for four hours. The only negative is the sweating underneath them. But much better than a snake bite. She did not encounter any poisonous snakes but walked thru plenty of briars without a scratch. She and I both felt confident the Razer Gaiters would stop a snake bite. Worth the peace of mind.

Actually surpassed my expectations
Used them for the first time here in the southwest where we have a ton of rattlers. They fit comfortably and stayed in place great. One strap did come undone twice (we did a lot of walking through thick cactus and desert shrub) so that wasn't really a surprise and once I wrapped it around once it stayed in place. I have short calves and if I lifted my leg above a 90 degree angle I could feel it rub the back of my thigh, but not painfully so. They go on quick and easy and they did a great job of keeping the cactus needles and thorns out of my calves. Love the front guard and the way it wraps over the top of your foot. Also, they go on quick and easy. Someone complained about the quick release. They do look a little cheap but they are the same ones I have on my backpack which I use 4-5 times a week. They hold up well and did fine for me. I also like the way they go on quick and easy. Had another pair of gaiters and though they cost slightly less than these they were terrible. Tried buying expensive Irish Setter snake boots and they were terrible. This has been a great experience so far and i'm glad I picked them up. Just be aware that if you wear them with something like tennis shoes they don't cover the whole foot and part of you will be exposed as snakes can bite through light leather and fabric. I wear mine with heavy Danner Pronghorns and the two together are great. When I'm done I don't have to ride home with them on in the desert heat, I just pop them off and put them in my back seat. They go on in seconds. Showed my brother and he is dumping his snake boots and going with these.

very well made.... they are the perfect protectors for everything not just snakes!
Actually, the snake protection is just a plus. I got these because when I cut firewood stickers in the field completely stick to and cover my shoelaces and takes forever to pluck them out. Also, deal with blackberry bushes that rip your flesh on your legs. The front of my legs look like a battleground of scars from all kinds of branches and stuff. Not anymore wearing these I feel invincible now to get into the thick of it all. snakes and all. absolutely love this quality product.

These are the best snake gaiters that I've ever had
These are the best snake gaiters that I've ever had. They are affordable too which makes it so much better. I originally bought them for myself and now everyone is asking where I got them. Being an outdoorsy person, they're perfect for me. Also, I like the style of these much more than the other gators I've had. They were too bulky and moved around a lot.

Perfect for hiking or hunting
Bought a pair of these for my wife and I to go hiking together. I also hunt and while I have snake boots, I plan to use these with hiking boots for more rough terrain. They are fairly lightweight and the material is rugged. I have no doubt that they will stop a snake bit of any species of pit viper. I do wish they had a strap to go around the part the covers the top of the foot. This wouldn't be hard to add however and they do stay put as is. The one size fits all definitely accommodates both mine and my wife's legs.

Snake guards are different.
The Razer product is superior to the Mossy Oak which are only served loosely at the top. One it’s thread breaks, it will start to deteriorate. The Razers have a self fabric binding which make them a better quality. I thought I was buying the same brand, just a different color.

Ultimatley, glad I bought them
Well, I will say this, It is exactly as the picture shows. They are however a bit bulky and somewhat awkward. How well do they work? I hope I never have to find out haha. But the reviews for this on the internet rated #3 out of the 10 different brand names, and the reason it was #3 was because of the price it made with the same materials as the others. Even though it is bulky and a bit awkward I do feel safer on the trail. Also, I might add that fashionable it is not, but that's ok. Also, it is very important to mention that you should make sure you measure your calves as this helps with the fit. I guess I just wish they were a bit less bulky, and a bit more comfy, like wearing a heavy sock, but it is not completely uncomfortable, and I can move well in them.

Comfortable and not overly intrusive
I've never had snake gaiters before, so I can't compare these to similar products too well, but I've been very happy with mine. Luckily, I haven't had an incident where I needed to test out their usefulness to this point, but I can vouch for their comfort and for the fact that I don't feel as though they really slow me down or anything.
