I'm a professional cabinetmaker. I use a countersink primarily in plywood when I assemble cabinets. Even though it looks rather clunky, this countersink works extremely well. It is wicked sharp and the adjustable depth stop produces consistent results. Initially, I was reluctant to buy it because of the price, but now that I have used it for a while, I have no regrets. It was worth every penny.

I love the tapered drill bit and the ease of use for setting up the stop. Having used this extensively on a cabinet job, one thing that surprised me was that maintenance is required on these. I started getting swirl marks on my pieces from the stop not freely spinning anymore. I removed the lock ring and took it apart and it was completely clogged up with sawdust. After cleaning and lubing the bearing with silicone lube, it worked great again. I imagine this maintenance will have to be completed regularly which is fine in my book because it functions so well.

It works, but the overall quality is not that great. The bit itself broke after few usages.

This is sooo nice to use, just do it. It's an inexpensive way to treat yourself.Definitely best for #4 or #6 screws. The carbide countersink bit cuts cleanly and leaves an almost burnished countersunk hole. The second pic shows the cleanliness of the countersink in between two also sharp forstner bit cuts.

Was surprised to receive this with rust on it. Isn’t a return, was factory sealed but has a good amount of surface rust on the countersink shaft and included hex wrench. So much so that there was rust dust on the inside walls of the protective container. Expected more from the most expensive countersink I’ve ever purchased…All that said, it does work well. Perfectly uniform countersink holes every time.Many users complain about the outer ring leaving marks on the wood, not sure how to prevent the laws of physics here, (something about objects in motion) I remedied the issue by touching the brass ring with my finger just before it touches the wood and it works as a perfect depth stop as one would expect.3stars due to rust, would be 5stars otherwise.

Price a little high, but quality.

A little on the big side but it works.

No more guessing at screw depths. All screws will now all be the same depthJust wish they were slightly less expensive

This takes the guessing out of having to eye up how deep to countersink! I wish I had got this a lot sooner. It’s very easy to use.

Works great. I hope they would include extra bit with this product
