Solid, will paint white
Included the little blue book as promised. When you handle it, you get grey dust all over your fingers, which I guess is aluminum, and that scares me. I am going to clean it with dawn soap, let it dry, spray paint it with white enamel, then rub in black enamel so I can see the numbers and markings.

Otherwise an excellent buy.
Thing thing has some heft to it. Works very well and can take a drop or two without ruining the tool. The finish on it does seem a bit rough and rushed however it does not affect the usability. So 1 star off for being so ugly. Otherwise an excellent buy.

Great Tool.
I think the speed squares were a Swanson invention. Good American made tool. I have their smaller square already. Love the larger square. Great for a circular saw guide.
