Heading back to her hometown where she was going to a friend's wedding was her plan however her car broke down along the way. Jesse couldn't believe his eyes when he saw Mia standing in his garage. He always had a thing for her in high school but when she turned him down he thought she didn't like him. Things get heated between them when the run into each other at a bar and Mia is tipsy. Jesse knows that they come from different backgrounds so he tries not to get too deeply involved with Mia but when he wakes up one morning and she's gone he knows that its too late. Can Jesse show Mia that she means more than a fling to him?This is a great story once I started it I couldn't put it down. The chemistry between Jesse and Mia is blazing hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this story to any book lover.I voluntarily read and reviewed this story.

Mia is bring her fiance's birthday cake home and finds her fiance' having sex with her friend. She ends up throwing his birthday cake all over them. She leaves then to go to her friends wedding in her hometown. A few miles just before she gets to her hometown, her car quits on her. So she walks into town and goes to a garage that is open. Jesse is under a car and talking to Mia and when he comes out, he sees it is a girl from high school who he couldn't ever get to go out with him. She never would as she didn't want to be another notch on his bedpost. He had so many girls, he got the nickname "Cherry Popper" (hence the title). There is an attraction there but can these two overcome their obstacles - Mia just broke up with her fiance' and Jesse has some things hanging over his head. While a short novella, I think this was a good book. I would have liked it to be a bit longer to flesh out a few things but I enjoyed the book enough to give it 5 stars. Even though I received an ARC, I purchased the book while it was on sale.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I loved this story by River Laurent. It’s a good girl/bad boy troupe with an sort of enemies to lovers twist. River’s storyline is engaging right from the start I was drawn in to the characters’ story. The hero and heroine are well developed and entirely believable within the story. Jesse has a bad reputation from high school days. He was the guy every girl had the hots for in high school. But he really just wanted one girl to go out with. Mia the heroine is not one to be a notch on anyone’s bedpost. So when young Jesse comes calling she says bye-bye. Fast forward six years and she’s back in town for a wedding and just broke up with her finance because he cheated on her. A chance meeting rekindles the feelings between the two. Jesse is not who he seemed when they were younger and neither is Mia. Now Jesse has a lot of soul searching to do to trust Mia with his past. Mia already knows where she stands with Jesse but she is not going to take less than all of her man. There’s some very hot sexy scenes between these two. Loved the book and recommend it.

Cherry Popper is seductive and entertaining. Mia catches her fiance in compromising position. She leaves him to head back to her hometown to attend a wedding. What happens when she runs into Jesse, a guy from her past? Jesse is an alpha loner type that has earned himself the nickname cherry popper. This is a story about two people who are opposites that are attracted to each other. Can Mia and Jesse make this thing between them work? In time secrets will be revealed, will this have an affect on the new couple? This book was sexy, intriguing, and engaging. It will keep you wondering what is going to happen next with all the twists and turns this story takes

The grass isn't always greener on the other side. Jesse has had a rough life and Mia has had a privileged one. Jesse has liked Mia since high school and vice versa. Unfortunately, they both have people in their lives that try to keep them from each other. I do like Jesse for being a good guy, standing up for himself, and for standing up for women who are being touched inappropriately.

Jesse and Mia, two people who are worlds apart in the social scene. As teenagers she was the one who turned him down. As adults, they two people looking for and finding love and solace in one another's arms. A true love story.

A must read book that will take you on an amazing ride. In what can be considered a monotonous world of romance, River Laurent brings a fresh, gripping, up beat and at times heartwrenching perspective that is reinvigorating and exhilarating.I voluntarily submitted an ARC review for this book

Good read

This is a second chance at love book, cute but I think I wanted a little more drama.Jesse was always the boy from the wrong side of the tracks, he arrived in town aged sixteen after an accident left him and his brother a part of the care system. He gained a reputation at school of a bedroom with the revolving door to the point he gained the nickname Cherrypopper! The girl he really wanted Mia turned him down flat not wanting to just be another conquest but she always wondered. Now the princess is back in town and he wants his chance this time and he’s going to take it!Mia is from a wealthy family and has always done the right thing, she’s engaged to the man her parents approved of is she happy, no not really well not until she comes home unexpectedly to find her perfect fiancé banging her friend in their bed! Now she can have some fun and arriving back in her home town she sees Jesse again. She’s always wanted him but never just wanted to be a wam bam thank you mam episode in his conquest list. She’s attracted to him more than she ever expected, but is that all she feels?! Can the boy from the wrong side of the tracks be the one and how will they fit into each other’s worlds?!?I did really enjoy this book but at times it felt a bit rushed. Certainly worth a read.

Breaking down outside of town, she suddenly finds herself stranded and in need of a good mechanic. One she just happens to know; Jesse.‘Cherry Popper’ is a nice easy read. Okay, if I’m honest the title of the book almost put me off of reading it. It’s just so crass and unnecessary. Aside from the fact that it was, for obvious reasons, Jesse’s nickname in school it really has little to do with the actual plot of the book. The story itself is your typical second chance style romance, however a part of the ending did manage to take me by surprise. Jesse is a man of hidden talents and secrets no-one should have to keep. Mia is a bit of a feisty one, despite the fact that she comes from money. If you’re ‘umming’ and ‘ahing’ about whether or not to read this one, just take a look at the sample, as the opening is actually quite funny. It’s what sold me on the book and I’m not in the least disappointed.

Loved Mia and Jesse’s story, how the posh girl falls for the bad boy and all the grief they get from her family and so called friends. Love wins out though and they get their HEA. The only disappointment was the story finished at 88%.

I loved this book it was a great read, how a girl from right side of town fell for a guy from the wrong side, I love a story when 2 people really shouldn't work but they do. This was an easy read I felt the connection. I like the honesty between the characters.

Didn’t know what to expect when I read this book initially but I have read this more than once. Mia’s character was fun & how most of us wish we had been strong enough if faced with life’s issues. Made me convert to this authors books anytime.
