This is really good stuff. also, affordable to get off of the seed oils. I love cooking with coconut oil, I even just swirl a spoonful around in my mouth. it is good for you, better to cook with.

My New Miracle Substance!!
About a year ago, my mom sent me a small container of coconut oil for my itchy legs. I have nice skin, but super sensitive and my legs itch like they are constantly covered in mosquito bites, when they are not. I've tried all sorts of excessively expensive creams and ointments, and the thing that helps BY FAR the most is this coconut oil. I've used other brands (spectrum, Trader Joe's, and some Amish brand from Lancaster) and Nutiva seems the most luxurious! I use this stuff on my entire body, even a tiny bit on my face!! My husband has commented numerous times about how soft and beautifully my skin looks... (He's the kind of guy that has a hard time noticing a drastic hair cut, let alone nice skin!!) It leaves a hint of an aroma, but you don't smell like Coco Cabana the rest of the day, by any means... More nutty than coconutty. I have discovered that if you put coconut oil in a mixer (in its solid form) and whip if for about 5 minutes, it whips up a bit, and becomes easier to scoop out of the container to slather on! (Fun tid bit)This bucket O' coconut oil has been the best price we have found. I have ventured into trying coconut oil to cook with (I know that's the original purpose, but prior to my bucket, I hoarded tiny jars for my skin) It imparts a slightly nutty flavor on your food, but has a crisp freshness that tastes almost summery. My husband hates coconut and coconut flavored things, but loved the food I cooked with the oil. The coconut oil heated up well, and did not smoke as olive oil does when it gets really hot. I've used it to cook a number of things, and nothing stuck to the pan. A little goes a long way when you cook with this stuff. In short: buy it to cook with, buy it to moisturize with, buy it in bulk... you won't be disappointed!

The best raw virgin coconut oil on the market
I have been using this product for about 10 years. After trying many other brands, I knew it was the best for us in quality and price. I won't use anything else.

Bargain price, QUALITY product! (edited)
I've been purchasing the Nutiva via subscription, in the two-pack jars. Recently I found the 8 pound pail available, and decided it would be a good purchase since coconut oil has such a long shelf life.Having seen another review that said there was a difference between the pail product and jar product, I was concerned. However, after having used both I can assure you that the product you buy in jars is the same product packed in the large pail.Eight pounds of wonderful coconutty goodness, creamy and fragrant and delicious! Since it turns liquid in warmer temps, I poured the liquid into my olive oil dispenser and can now add oil to my skillets without having liquid coconut oil running all down the sides of the jar. When the weather cools down I'll have to make other arrangements, of course. But this coconut oil is fabulous and a bargain at this price!I might have to order another one soon as my mother likes this also, and took some of my coconut oil.*Edit 6-14-11: when I purchased this and raved about what a bargain it was, the pail cost me just a little over $50.00 You may find that doing the math on any additional price increases changes whether this is a bargain for you or not.

Amazing Product!
We were very impressed with the quality of Nutiva's Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil! We used it primarily for cooking and it was a great tasting and healthy oil that we could add to a wide variety of dishes. Most of our household has problems with dairy, so this was often substitutes as a "creamer" in both tea and coffee. It's not the same as a dairy-based creamer but it was appealing for our tastebuds.*****Review update: 4/22/2014*****The only problem I have encountered with coconut oil on Amazon these days is the cost. Since Costco started carrying a good supply, I find we don't purchase this product online anymore. If you don't have that convenience available, this might be a great way to buy in bulk. The product was good. We cooked with it, used it as a creamer, gave some to the cat to help her coat - she loves it, and we ate about a spoonful a day right out of the container. One thing to keep in mind is that coconut oil solidifies at temps less than around 68 degrees or so. That makes it super easy to spoon out. When ambient temps raise to around 70, it goes to a liquid state. I just mention that so you don't leave the container on it's side with the cap loosely fit. Not a big deal, just something to keep in mind.

This is the best valuei think it will last me about 2 months I am happy I was buying the big 56oz jars every month and using less than I would like now I can use as much as I want and I don't have to order it every single month it's worth the money definitely a deal with how much you get definitely recommend if you are a coconut nut like I am.
