This dual copy light set is designed to give even light across the board of a copy stand. The uprights arms attach to the copy board so that they will fit almost any copy stand. The vertical and horizontal arms are fully adjustable with interlocking sawtooth design locks to ensure that when an arm is positioned, it will stay securely in place. The lampheads are also adjustable up and down as well as left and right. Featuring a standard lamp socket, the lampheads each accept a maximum 75 watt bulb such as a PH211 (which is commonly used), CFL's or AC slave flashes. Bulbs are not included. Copy stand is not included (see either RS-CS920 or RSCS1070 copy stands).

A review said the plastic protectors were difficult to remove ...
A review said the plastic protectors were difficult to remove and screws were not effective since they were into plastic. I discounted these on the basis of other reviews, but I find that both are true. The connector the holds the smaller rod to the longer don't want to snug up. It just came, so I haven't used it yet.

Just what the doctor ordered
Not sure what the other reviews Were on about.....For the price, the add on copy light set is a good deal for the price. Fully adjustable, arms, clamps could be a bit beafier, but, again for the price they work fine. Comes without lamps, which is fine, you have many choices for what type you will need. Best that you make that choice for yourself. As for the construction, durable enough for the price, not unlike the old Poloroid copy stand light set, setup was easy, came with instructions, although really not necessary, end caps slipped right off, really a no-brainer assembly. Overall if you need a light set up for a copy stand and don't want to mess around with auction sites and excessive shipping, this is a good deal.Adorama shipping was free, and arrived 3 days ahead of schedule.

Arms good, fixture and shade not so good
The light set does not include lights. The price is very reasonable compared with similar offerings, but only one style of bulb fits. I had hoped to use full spectrum CFLs, but they are too big for the fixture and extend beyond the shade.

Copy Lamp Arms do the job
These lamp arms are a bit unwealdly. The clamp to the base idea seems a bit cheap but it certainly allows one to move the base anywhere you want on the stand. Just be aware that they do not come with lamps.

Excellent Product
These lights are perfect with the RPS Heavy Duty Stand, I assembled them in no time and it gives even flat light across my art work, also very easy to adjust and change out bulbs as needed.

Ehhh
The conveince of the angle is nice, but the actual lighting isn't any better than a couple of desk lamps. It probably wasn't worth it for me.

Taking close up photographs..
The lights are adjustable for taking close-up photos.. Perfect amount of lighting! Be sure to purchase the "ajustable lights". If you are purchasing the camera stand, be sure to purchase the stand with "grid alignments".

Decieved by picture, but overall OK.
Overall the quality of the product is OK. It does what it is suppose to do well. But the picture and product description was a bit deceiving. I didn't realize I was only purchasing the 2 light fixtures and the 4 bars w/ respective clamps. I was under the impression that it would include everything pictured.Nevertheless, when you open the box, you get two sets of a bars used for the stands & two light fixtures. There are no assembly instructions. The bars have clamps on one side, and rubber caps attached on the other side. The light fixtures are very basic and have a clamp attached to them as well. When putting it together, you have to insert the bars through the clamps and tighten the clamps at their desired locations. Sounds simple right? Not so much. The reason that is is because neither clamp side or rubber cap size fit through the diameter of the clamp. I tried pulling the rubber cap off but it didn't come off. The clamps, on the other hand, do unscrew & pull off which is great because it allows you to put it together but after doing this several times, the screws will eventually fail. The reason that is is because the hole that the screws turn into are not threaded. They're just slightly smaller than the diameter of the screw which allows the screw to bite into the tube. With time, the screw will eventually lose its "bite."After assembly, I was able to clamp the lights stands to the end of a table. I then placed a camera tripod at the end of the table, and angled the camera to face the table. Works well, and the pictures come out good. I think I could have replicated the lighting this unit provides for much less than $75 dollars though using basic reading lamps such as this one [...]
