Can this calm a puppy down so that he doesn't bite me when excited and hyper?

I wouldn't have thought they would do it 100% - they're very mild. They may take the edge off and help a little bit but I wouldn't expect an instant cure. I use them around Bonfire Night and if I know there's going to be a thunderstorm - they just take the edge off for them and make them a little more relaxed - I joke it's like they've had a glass of wine. Also, they're quite hard (my adult Lhasa Apsos struggle with them) so depending on your breed, he might not be able to bite them. Pooch and Mutt calming treats are better for puppies and small dogs, in my opinion, and they are a little more effective in the calming down stakes.
