ESV Illuminated Scripture Journal: Psalms

I have gifted several of these and think they are just as beautiful as they are useful for deepening our walk with God! Absolutely love the artwork inside. Only wish there was more! This is a quality work of publishing with sturdy pages for writing or drawing, who wouldn’t love to have one of these!? The Psalms in particular seem to lend to journaling. The journal is thicker than I expected but not too much so at all.

This is a beautifully done book of Psalms. It is wonderful for journaling in Psalms.

This is a beautiful book for a great price! There's abundant space to write your own prayers next to each psalm, and beautiful drawings and binding. Got one for each of my small group ladies - they went "Wow!" For this price, I'd buy more when I can bless someone!

So I'd like to start with I prefer the KJV and this book is offered in that format - but sales out quickly. So this is the ESV which is a downside for me personally. I am on the wait list for the KJV but their is some pretty neat YouTube videos on journaling using this book and I couldn't wait. The KJV wont change the size or features of the book so I decided to review it now. It starts with a few pages of author notes then moves directly to the psalms. All 150 in their entirety are included. I love that feature. It has plenty of room on the opposite page for art, journal work or note taking. My book arrived in perfect condition. I am not a fan of the cover but it isn't the worse cover out their either, as I do like deer. The font is easy to read. I like that the Psalm Numbers are extra enlarged font. Some of the art pages are blank. Some have a little art work already on them but still gives you enough work to add your own notes, art or what not.Downsides:The book is pretty thick. Which wouldn't be a problem if the book laid flat.The pages are see through. This worries me for my work bleeding through. I haven't tried it yet so I hope this isnt the case. Based off of the video's I have seen on YouTube I am hopeful this wont be a problem. I'm giving it 5 Stars but I lingered on 4 Stars because it doesn't lay flat and will be hard to work in.

I absolutely love these Scripture journals. They are beautiful and great for jotting down thoughts and applications as I read.
