Fi-ShockIW5XNY-FS Yellow Nail-On 5-Inch Extender Insulator with Barn Nails

We had some foxes move into a nearby coulee. So, we surrounded the chicken pasture with an electric fence using the extender insulators on all the wooden posts. It was a quick and easy solution for protecting our hens.

I've purchased these insulators in the past and they always came with galvanized nails. The nails provided this time are not galvanized and are rusting badly. Because I use treated wooden posts, galvanic corrosion may be a bigger concern.

I was a bit confused trying to find the right size nail for this product. Just opened the package and realized the nails are included, lol :) Seems like way too much nail for this product to be honest. But, still 5 stars for a great product, this is exactly what I needed! Thank you, I'm using this to protect deer and bears from my orchards and my garden!

Used these to protect the perimeter on the outside of chicken coop. It is good if you need to extend out so the animals are in no danger of touching.

OK. Does provide more stand-off from posts and trees to make corners. But not very strong. Of the 30 I put up, 3 have already broken; snapped off at the base.
