A page turner
My son finished this book in two days. This is the first book my 9yo couldn’t put down. He found excuses to tuck away into the story during his winter break. There were nice illustrations intermingled with the story which he also mentioned as a plus for his experience!

Best Wolf Book Of All Time!!!
This book is amazing and I will read it again 1001 times! I am working on wolf books of my own and I find this very helpful. People who like fantasy books might dislike this. But I think that this is my fave book! I think a good age would be 8 to 100! any age would like this book! This book inspired me to make wolf books of my own. Wolf lovers buy this book!

Super detailed, but a bit slow
I would give this 3.5 if i could. It’s really cool that it’s a true story, and you learn a lot about wolf life. On the down side, it’s so realistic it lacks a story (most chapters are a wolf walking around looking for food).Loved the end part with tons of detailed info about wolves and prairie wildlife.

Swift's journey as he tries to find his way home.
Book Review by Gracie aged 8Recommended age group 8-12Main character - Wander / SwiftOutline of the story - An angry pack of wolves attack Swift’s pack so Swift drives one attacking wolf away but on his way back he gets lost. The story tells Swifts journey as he tries to find his way home .What I liked about the book - I liked how it actually described that being a lone wolf is like being in a battle . Swift never gave up and kept hoping.Would I recommend the book to others? Yes because the first page of the story draws you in . Readers who like animals would enjoy this.Score 10/10

Illustrative book with good story
My 10 year old wolf mad daughter loved this book and the illustrations. She used to identify with books based on illustrations so I thought this would make it feel like less of a chore as she’s not the keenest reader. It had good reviews so was one of a few books that I bought her. This and another book series have really got her excited about reading again. Would recommend

Beautiful but probably suited to 10+ age
A great story beautifully written with some wonderful illustrations. A little dense for my 9 year old boy who loves wolves and reading. We're reading it together instead of him reading it independently as intended. He says it reminds him of poetry.
