East top Diatonic Harmonica in C

Ordered this to replace a harmonica (from the same company) that had a problem with one of the reeds. I realize this can sometimes happen. There was no problem with the return or refund. Stayed with East top because they have a great reputation for quality and value and I have no regrets with the decision. The harp looks good and sounds even better! Ideal harmonica for the beginner and intermediate player.

Fantastic sound, feels and looks good. I bought it on recommendation from a YouTube harmonica for beginners video and glad I did. Since then I have seen it recommended on a number of harmonica sites as a great harp for beginners and intermediate players.

This is my first ever harmonica, didnt know what to expect but after playing & experimenting, learning more what to expect etc. Easttops 008k series is solid, no air leakage, plays beautifully, its priced in the budget range & to be blunt, its equal, if not better in sound than some of the bigger names in harmonica making (Hohner, Suzuki etc). If your new to this hobby or as a pro but put off by the prices, 100% recommend easttop, if not the 008k then try the Maxwell st. Blues.

Good instrument, value for money

Like it. Makes sounds. Working from making sounds backwards to maybe looking at " formalized" music and song. Bought a bunch, wide variety tending toward low tones, Harmonicas to sit and play around with. Kind of like Jazz or that Zappa experimentation thing. Find your sound and work out from there.

I bought this harp for a special gig - I needed a harp that I could play bluesy fills in the key of B, which I typically wouldn’t need. Instead of paying a premium price for a different brand I decided that I would try the Easttop. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality and with the sound. It’s not as loud or as warm as the pricier brands, but it’s a great little harp that bends easily and sounds very sweet. I’m not the kind of guy that takes his harps apart, so I can’t speak technically about construction....it feels solid and hefty in my hand. Unfortunately, I also can’t speak to durability as I only needed it once!!!

Until now, I have used Hohner, Suzuki, and Lee Oskar harmonicas. When it was time to replace a Lee Oskar, I bought this East Top as an experiment. It was much less expensive, so my expectations were not high. I was pleasantly surprised! I'm very happy with the way it feels and sounds. Time will tell how it holds up, but I'm expecting to buy more East Top harmonicas in the future.

Just received the East Top 008K black. I'm a beginner and struggled with other harmonicas that I have purchased. Some of my previously purchased harmonicas were unplayable out of the box, with stuck or unresponsive reeds. All seven of the East Top 008K played perfectly out of the box. The quality control is superior to all my previously owned harmonicas, some of which were more expensive. The tone and volume are excellent. If you are a beginner I don't think you can go wrong with this set, assuming the quality is as good as the set I received. Highly impressed.
