Lasting 6yrs +, through many many accidents. lol Works, and is wicked sturdy!
UPDATE April 2024: Can't recommend enough! After I squashed it--it still didn't break-- (see below) I got a new one. That one had lasted 4 yrs. This replacement has lasted 6 years and 3 months now and is still perfectly fine. Not a crack or bend or anything! It has transferred well to a new chair with a different type of arm than I'm used to (thought it is a bit loose. I've recently written to the company asking for advice because I am pretty sure I am not getting it right because I am a doofus and not due to the construction of the product. lol).UPDATE December 2017: After 4 years and 2 day from when I purchased this I FINALLY did it in by trapping myself at full speed in btween the door and the door jamb of a glass door in an office building. It wasn't the jam into the door but the squeeze in the hinges that did it. And it still didn't break off, just broke sidewise giving me time to get home and order a new one. Off to do that now. EXCELLENT product, highly recommended x 20! I've purchased it for another wheelchair user, too.UPDATE Aug 2017: This thing must be made from alien materials--it is STILL holding up after 3.5 years of constant use, on two different chairs with different-width and shape arms. I would have been more than willing to pay for a new one once a year but I STILL haven't had to replace my original! And yes, it is still subjected to--and still stands up to--to much punishment.ORIGINAL REVIEWI can see how this would fit nearly every chair type--clever but simple design. The included instructions are not terribly clear but you can go to to their website for a short video that demonstrates it. I had a question about the pads (how do I know if I need to use them or not) and wrote to the company and--are you sitting down?--heard back from them, on a weekend mind you, within 5 or 6 hours! Great service, great product, and--no need to ask how I know this lol--they do in fact stand up to impacts. Repeated impacts. With both regular walls and concrete walls.

LOVE THIS POWER CHAIR CUP HOLDER
I searched a long time before I found this EASY TO INSTALL CUP holder for POWER CHAIRS. It attaches with a plate which secures VERY TIGHTLY with 2 Velcro Straps and it stays put. Others require you to drill into the arm of the chair, not for me!! And the ones available for wheelchairs only have a small attachment that doesn't fit the arm of a mobility chair. Also, this Seller has THE BEST PRICE FOR THIS ITEM. IT'S A WIN-WIN SITUATION.

Great cup holder, lousy installation instructions
The product is great. Fits my wheelchair just fine. With its square arms, I’ve been searching for one that would fit. Is flexible so it shouldn’t break if you accidentally run into something with it. I really like this cup holder. But the diagrams for installation are very minimal. A more detailed illustration for each step would be helpful. And it was nice they made a video to show you how to install. But the lighting in the video is so poor that you can’t see what they are doing. It’s a shame that such a great product has such poor support. You’ll likely figure out how to install it after trial and error. But it needn’t have been so difficult to provide lucid directions for installation.

EXCEEDED my expectations, and then some!
I am very happy with this cup holder! We just returned from our 5 day vacation to Niagara Falls, ON, and this cup holder was a great asset. I was worried it would bother my arm like some reviews mentioned, but I hardly noticed it was there. I have a pretty thick, and wide arm rest, and this fit perfectly. It has 2 adjustable velcro straps, and will fit many different sized armrests.PROS: It held my heavy, 20oz and 24oz stainless steel, contigo coffee cups, regular fast food restaurant cups, a Starbucks iced coffee, the hotel's regular porcelain coffee cup, the large gas station cups, and regular disposable water bottles. It never sagged, or made me feel like my drink was going to spill or fall out. Even with the open style of the porcelain coffee cup was fine when riding all through the very large Great Wolf Lodge Hotel. I was surprised by how sturdy, and steady this thing actually is. Of course, I would suggest a lid on my drink if I'm going to be out on the town or on sidewalks going over bumbs. Even a can of pop would be fine in that situation tho, because of the narrow opening.I looked at all of the different styles, and prices of all of the cup holders I could find, and this seemed to be the most universal for different sizes, and styles of mobility scooters, as well as, for the different types, and sizes of drinks. To be honest, this was a pleasant surprise, and EXCEEDED my expectations, and then some! I was a bit discouraged with the lack of options to begin with, and the high prices for the majority of these options. Let me just say, after receiving this, and using this for a week straight, I would pick this cupholder every time, hands down! I definitely recommend this, and the fair pricing is an added bonus.

Functional, but beware of chair damage!!!
I got this for my brand new minivan that I thought could use a more conveniently placed cup holder for the kids. It has stayed in place even though the armrest it was attached to is narrow. However, when removing it to prep for a road trip and clean the car, I found the worst discoloration on the leather armrest. I am not certain, but it appears to have come from the rubber non slip pads that came with the armrest. It could be from the whole unit, but I cannot be sure. Just be advised, to be safe...i would wrap some sort of layer between the cup holder itself and the chair arm that you are attaching it to. Maybe plastic wrap and a towel. Again, functionally it works well, but it did major damage to my new car's leather arm rest. I cannot remove the stain and am buying a replacement armrest...not cheap.

Quick and easy to strap in place temporarily, and it holds a cup securely.
I've long been looking for a cup holder for my power chair that didn't have to be permanently attached. This is the only one I've found so far. It's the work of a minute or two to strap it on and go, and it's easy to remove when I'm done with it. A cup is held securely in it.
