Snuffle Mat Pet Dog Feeding Mat, 28''x28'' Interactive Dog Puzzle Toys Encourages Natural Foraging Skills

We've tried the spiral bowls to help slow feeding time down (belly aches & throw up) and within days my too smart Australian Sheppard had it figured out and would scarf food down again - she would just knock the bowl over & spill it but the mat doesn't flip like that. This mat is fun for her, she eats slower, enjoys snuffling out her food and it helps burn some energy & engage her at the same time. We've been using it 2x/day for feeding for just over a month now and it's held up really well, has lots of spots to hide food & treats in and folds up easily when eating time is done. Wish I would have had these for all my dogs over the years as it really is great, which is saying a lot because like I said, my Aussie is crazy smart & finding things she cannot outsmart within a short time is a task all on its own and she has yet to outsmart this mat.

My dog loves her new snuffle mat so much! It slows her down sooo much when she’s eating. She isn’t a very rough chewer though so I can’t say it would do well if yours is. It comes with straps on the back of it to wrap it up with but they don’t make any sense. Still it’s a great way to entertain her and slow her down. Good for bigger dogs.

I've added this into my guinea pig cage, and they love it! I'll sprinkle foraging bits over the fleece, and they lose their minds. The two things that made me realize this wasn't for small animals were simple fixes. The first being a bell. When I opened the mat, the bell tumbled out. It was small enough where an animal would choke. However, since it tumbled out of the mat I simply discarded. The second being the squeaker hotdog. I think it's adorable and a dog would love it, but it's not the best for little pigs. It simply slides out from the mat, so it was another easy fix. Polar fleece is a safe fleece for pigs, but it's also easy to wash. This product is awesome and a great addition to their cage!

I have 4 puzzle feeders for my (large) “mini” Aussie, and hand washing those has brought me to tears nearly every time I use them. I decided to try a snuffle mat and went with this one because of the ability to fold in the sides and buckle it shut. Oh, and the carrying handle. It arrived, I opened it up, and was pleasantly surprised how large it is. Brooklyn is sitting right at 37lbs at a week shy of 6 months old, and this mat (when properly loaded by her human), takes a solid 11 minutes for her to work through, double check, and then triple check before she believed she got everything. Yes, I timed her. She finishes a bowl of food in right around 45-50 seconds, so 11 minutes is incredible. It takes me about 5 minutes to load the mat and disperse the kibble to slow her down, but is worth it at dinner time to make sure she gets a mentally rewarding workout before bedtime. She is always zonked after this little adventure lol.It is pretty heavy duty, I oversee her mealtime so I make sure to pick it up and give it shake when she is finished to make sure she got that last piece of kibble, then I leave it up high to air dry before folding it up and buckling it down. She will never destroy this because she will never be left alone to destroy it, though I am fairly confident she could have a go and it would survive more than a couple of rounds. So I would give a high durability rating if used under human supervision as instructed.I throw it in the wash every Friday evening and am currently just using baking soda and hot water. I air dry. No idea if this is correct, but it still looks clean and doesn’t smell after washing 🤷🏻‍♀️The only downside is that I am unable to use the little corner pockets as I know she will destroy those since her snoot is wider than those little triangular openings. That could add an extra minute to meal time otherwise lol. It doesn’t matter though, this thing has so much real estate that we are completely happy with it. I may just take a seam ripper to those triangular pockets and open them up to her snoot size.I bought two other smaller boring snuffle mats to use at breakfast and lunch, which consist of just a bunch of fringes. Those are excellent as well when properly loaded. We get at least a 5 minute meal from those, and I can load those quicker. I am an official believer of snuffle mats.If you are like me and considering a snuffle mat, i highly recommend this particular one. I think this layout and design features are right on par with the majority of snoots, the size ensures a good slower meal, and the ease of washing and closing it up are perfect. We’ll be getting another one as backup in case this ever goes away!

This is a AWESOME Snuffle mat. It has helped tons with slow feeding along with nose training. My Standard Poodle eats to fast so we bought this an timed how long it takes him to eat. It took him anywhere from 10 to 15mins to eat with this mat, which is so much better than less than 1 min to eat out of a bowl. Plus we use the mat for nose sniffing games. This mat is very durable as long as you supervise when using. I love the fact its machine washable and it folds up with clamps to keep it closed for travel or storage. People who give bad reviews about toys an items like this item, saying "It's Not durable" is because they are NOT supervising their dogs. Dogs are not humans they DO NOT know not to chew on stuff so you have to watch them when they play with toys and feeding devices like this that way it dosn't get destroyed. Dogs are more like toddlers they get into everything because they don't know any better you can't expect them to know not to chew or get into stuff just because you left it down. So Never leave this down, remember it smells like food so of course the dog will chew on it thinking there's food there when there isnt any, so please pick it up when you're dog is finished. We always pick up this mat immediately after our dog is finished with it along with any other toys he plays with so that they last a long time. So please make sure you are watching your dog when playing with this snuffle mat dont just put it down an walk away that way this mat will last you a lot longer an not get destroyed.I highly recommend this mat for anyone who needs a slow feeder or nose sniffing toy for their dog, cat or any other small animal.Just please make sure you supervise when using if your unable to supervise than this snuffle mat is Not the mat for you.

Doesn’t slow my dog down enough- she still gets sick from eating her breakfast too fast. But it’s nice to have around for the other meals that she usually eats slower later in the day. I also successfully cleaned it in the washer (then air dry) after she got sick all over it.

My dogs really enjoy this mat. It is great for feeding them slowly, or having them search out some treats.

Un tappeto da fiuto bello grande ed articolato. Utile per tenere i cani impegnati per un po', nascondendo all'interno delle strisce ed anelli di stoffa crocchette o biscottini. Non posso dare 5 stelle perché questi tappeti sono abbastanza costosi, rispetto ad i materiali e la fattura di costruzione. L'ho acquistato comunque perché, per i miei cani, sono sempre alla ricerca di soluzioni che li tengano impegnati e li facciano divertire anche quando siamo in casa. Nel complesso un buon prodotto

Very disappointing that the snuffle mat is not like what is described. There are no buckles and the mat is not able to fold neatly even without the buckles. I am not even sure that this is oxford cloth material. I am considering returning for a refund. The only plus side is that it is rather pretty.

Absolutely recommend this product! We have a beagle mix who gets bored very easily but it also very food motivated.. this snuffle Matt has been perfect at keeping her entertained and out of mischief. As is states in the description, it’s durable but not indestructible, she has torn off Smalls parts of the hiding spots on the edges, but that’s not a major issue. There’s still plenty of hiding spots and doggo absolutely loves it. Super easy to clean by throwing in the wash and folds up really well to put away. Two paws up.

Does not have the foldable features or a logo as the pictures provided by the seller, but glad my dog loves it.
