For the Love of Grace

This is a pretty standard television movie. It is about how a fireman who has lost his wife befriends a writer who he saves from an apartment fire. I won't give away the plot but suffice it to say that it is fairly typical for this kind of movie. That being said, it is still an enjoyable movie to watch, mostly because the characters are interesting and likable and the plot doesn't involve any violence or explicit material. This lends an air of realism to the story. The only thing that's a little odd about this one is that the female character seems a bit like a stalker as she sneaks up and takes photos of people for books she is supposedly writing. Fortunately, these scenes are short and don't detract significantly from the story. If you like a low-key and wholesome love story, it's worth checking this out.

A nice Hallmark movie. I’m a sucker for a happy ending.

This is one of my favorite movies. Too bad it is formatted wrong! It was filmed in 2008 before the wide screen era. But, when the DVD was made they 'stretched' the film to fit wide screens. The result is dumpy looking actors. There is a catsup bottle scene where the bottle is setting on the table: short and w-i-d-e. Then it is picked up to pour: now long and skinny. Great movie. So sad it can't be seen as it should be.

For the Love of Grace brings a firefighter dealing with the sudden loss of his wife head-on with a spunky young women writer. She is work driven and has her heart supposedly given to another. When an unexpected fire in her apartment brings the firefighter running to safe her, little do they know that their two lives are about to change drasticly. She changes her writing idea to one that throws her into the life of a firefighter. As she takes photos and creates her new book, Grace creates havoc with her life and that of Steve Lockwood's. The lock on Steve's heart opens to Grace's tender hold and he is totally taken by her. Grace doesn't realize that the love she thought that was so strong for her fiance is really not a strong bond at all. Steve decides to fight for a new beginning to life by racing to the church to once again save Grace. A must see for that romantic in all of us.

This is such a cute movie. Good reminder to care more about the people you love more than possessions or future aspirations, no matter how great.

Wonderful movie

Excellent film and shows us that love can be tested and in this particular movie (Grace) is rescued by a firefighter and her life is now seen through a totally different set of values and she realizes that even though her fiancé is a great guy he is no longer the man she sees as great husband material, however, the firefighter that saved her life (Mark) is more what she now sees as such a super guy and having just suffered a loss himself, they heal one another.Beautifully done and is a Hallmark movie on TV, having said that, I now have in my DVR and now in my video library, that's how much I enjoy this film.

Overall - good feeling. No sex or otherwise inappropriate issues. Happy to see that they did not go through with the wedding…but concerned that they let it get that far when she was definitely feeling something for someone else. Marriage has enough stress put on it for real…didn't like that it wasn't taken more seriously and that something wasn't said about it sooner. But the characters were good and it was good family entertainment.

Escape the world for awhile and enjoy yourself.

I quite enjoyed this movie. First of all, the acting was good and the story line believable. It's a story about healing from past wounds and being willing to embrace new beginnings. I would recommend this movie because it's full of hope and encouragement. It brings a message that it is possible to rise above heartbreaking circumstances and find a fulfiling life again. Clean movie.

I really enjoyed the movie. I was really happy to have found this movie as I had seen it once but couldn't find it on DVD until a short time ago.
