This pump works great in our pond! Every pond needs one because it keeps the water moving, and that keeps it all healthy, and from getting the ick. This is the second time I have purchased this pump. The first time I got one it worked fantastic, they told me to clean it out regularly and I never did. It lasted a full two years without being cleaned at all. Gross? Probably, but I just don't have time. I was so impressed with it lasting so long though, I bought the same one again.It's super easy to install you just plug it in into a water safe outlet that is away from your pond, and it starts going. And it makes the pond look great. It's pretty small or what it does, but I'm telling you - it works, and it works well

I have a small water feature (60-ish gallons) that I have to clean a couple of times a year. This little pump drops in and I can pump out almost all the water without disturbing the rocks and plants. Then I refill with fresh water. Really helps this process!

This submersible water pump is small, compact, and quite powerful for the price.Happy with the purchase, happy with the performance, but NOT happy with how short of a time the first one lasted.I purchased the first one July 2023, and by the end of Oct 2023 (about 4-months) the first pump stopped working. There was no corrosion, no clogging, no fraying of wires. Just stopped workingThankfully these pumps are relatively inexpensive with coupons frequently to repurchase, and I hope this second one lasts longer (and the first one is a defective fluke)will report if the second one fails sooner than expected

Don’t last very long, I have two of these and they keep messing up!! Upset bc I was gone for a weekend and came home and my fish in my smaller pond died because it was producing a waterfall to put oxygen in the water and it just quit working after a few weeks

This pump works too well. It has a max flow rate of 550 gallons per hour, but what it doesn't tell you is the minimum flow rate is somewhere around 250 or 300. It nearly flooded my apartment! Definitely buy it if you need a powerful pump, otherwise I recommend looking for something else.

Bought this to replace a fountain pump that died. The former pump was the same 550 gpm as this that I got to replace it.The upside is that this is super quiet and very, very strong.The downside is that despite turning the flow adjustment knob, the flow strength stays very, very strong.Water splashes everywhere outside my fountain and within hours, the pump starts to make a gurgling sound indicating that the water level has dropped too low.I took the pump out of my fountain and sat it in a 5gal bucket to test. I removed the tubing from the output valve, and measured the stream strength and height on high flow, med flow and low flow. There is literally just about an inch or two difference in vertical stream spray when on high vs when on low.I even bought a separate flow adjustment nozzle and inserted it between the pump and the tubing.This worked great for about a day. The next day I noticed the water stream was flowing strong again and when I checked on it, I found that the water strength flowing through the flow-control was strong enough that it pushed the valve back to the full open position.Yes, this pump is strong.For my use in a small-ish outdoor fountain, this results in way too much splash outside the fountain and well basin which drains the well within several hours.If your fountain or pond is large enough that overspray won't deplete your water level and you're looking for a strong, silent pump, this one's for you. Unfortunately my fountain is too small and this didn't work for me.
