A good size box for pencils, pens, etc. I happen to be using it for hobby supplies as some of my stuff just fits nicely

UPDATE: I've decided to take two more stars off because the seller not only did not send me a replacement lid he ignored the text I sent him asking about the replacement.I have several boxes like this one in different sizes. I use them to store small tools and various other things I want to keep together. I use them for all kinds of organization needs. The first one I received had a broken lid but the seller contacted me and said he'd send me a new lid. I'll wait to see if I get the lid.

Would love for the lid to be sent as it was expected. I would really not like to go through the hassle of returning just to get the lid.

Ordered these because of the length. Long enough for silverware and cooking utensils. Sturdy and close tightly.

I have bought many plastic storage items over the years but am now hooked on the Really Useful boxes!! I have this box for pencils, craft and sewing ribbon storage. Perfect. I love that the box is squared up all the way around making for wonderful, spill free stacking. A must have for storage.

Carefully took into account sizes of boxes similar to this and having decided on this one bought some CDRW discs to make up to the required £'s to buy this reduced price box.On my laptop table stands a two tier shelf and on the top of the shelf stands my monitor. This box is ideal to lie across in front of the monitor, just the right height not to obscure the monitor's screen with the monitors remote control lying on it. This box contains all those oddments of computer stuff for the computer that is stored on the lower part of the shelf unit. I then ordered a second identical box to lie in front of the first - this to contain pens, and other day to day needs, spare batteries for mouse and remotes and the dvd player remote as well. On the top of this second box is my Amazon Firestick.As an afterthought I placed a small piece of nonslip material on the right hand side of top of the front box which allows a mug of coffee or similar to be placed. It even fits my mini kettle.Having these two boxes alongside each other has made a difference to my life as I no longer have the pain of standing to reach for things, no longer have to feel on the floor for dropped items as they are safely in the closed boxes. The ridges around the lids of the boxes keep a couple of pens from rolling off. Such a small amount for independence.

I absolutely love these boxes. I bought two. One to keep my stationery in place for easy to find and neatly kept away. Another to keep all sharps cutlery in the kitchen drawer...knives; skewers, kitchen scissors, meat scissors etc safe and tidy. Keep these sharps safe from children and even myself. Will buy 2 or more soon to organise chopsticks in one, satay bamboo skewers in another and probably bits and bobs in another and one more probably for the car to keep sunglasses, reading glasses, chargers and probably a very small squarish container for the coins and put it inside this magic box...well organised tidy and no more arguing blaming games with my hubby man!

I love Really Useful Boxes, and all the different sizes they come in. They are strong, durable, and you can see what you are storing in them from the outside which is very handy. I have used the 1.5 litre for storing and stacking Ramekin dishes in the kitchen, so they don't fall about in cupboards, but they would also make great pencil cases, or a thousand other uses. The lids are kept on with strong clips each end. The only down side is you have to remember that you should not store them long term in bright sunlight, because if you do, the plastic becomes brittle and breaks. However in normal use and storage conditions away from long time UV light they are very durable.

I was looking for a way to store essential oil bottles that made them easy to see and that would fit into a specific cupboard we have. These work perfectly. The essential oils and candles fit perfectly inside the boxes so I can still see the labels and make access really easy. These boxes stack well on top of one another and fit into the space available.We are Amazon Prime members so the order arrived quicky, the day after ordering.

...partsBut I have more parts than the box can hold. So I've bought another larger box.All is not lost it will suit other storage needs so no money waster just spent too early.AS with the R.U.B. Co products it should survive a good few years and by then it will be able to be locally recycled.The stacking ability of R.U.B. is only worthwhile if you have several but a well fitting lid probably is the more important against the uniform stack design.
