Fits like a glove
Had an issue with getting my stock key into my ignition and decided it was time to finally bite the bullet and replace it. Found this after a bit of looking and ordered it. The shear bolts on the old 2004 CR-V ignition are a pain to remove, but after that and installing this new piece on the car, everything fits back together quite nicely. The only thing to note is that you need to remove the old immobilizer from the old ignition and install it on the new one AS WELL AS removing the transmitter from the old key to put in the new one (see attached photo if you don't have access to an OBD2 reader to program the new keys). Did this about a week ago and it works like a charm. Just have to make it so that when you put the old transmitter in the key that you find a way to seal it! As for the door locks, I installed those earlier this weekend and haven't had any issues whatsoever with the keys snagging or anything! Super super happy with the purchase and quality of materials.

Perfect DYI fit on my 2004 Honda CRV.
My Honda is the base model with no fancy fob built into the keys. This unit does not come with the immobilizer but many higher priced also do not. My key switch was bad and the steer lock was also stuck so i needed a complete unit like this. I removed the immobilizer (2 screws) from my old unit and installed it on the new. Bolted it up, plugged everything in and it cranked but not fired which I expected. I then cut the old keys apart with a box cutter and popped off the cover on the new keys and switched chips and it started right up. NO programming or locksmith required. I bought a separate fob for my door locks when the Honda door key locks failed years ago. This unit came with two new lock to fit the new keys so that will be a bonus when i get the time to replace them.

So far no issues
Took a bit to remove old one ('02 honda crv) but new one went in fine. The doors didnt take too long to reprogram with new keys. So far only issue is now steering wheel is sticking but may be the pump. But so far so good.

Save Yourself Money, Easy DIY
This item worked awesome. Just break your old keys down the middle with a scraper down the middle supporting the scraper on the metal part of the keys. The chips are protected with a white plastic case in the original Honda keys. Put chips into new keys. Also switch the transponder (plastic ring) that reads the chips in your keys. Awesome product. No need for a programmer with this product

It fit like a glove.
It fit like a globe and it has the functionality of the oem. I save over 600$ on parts and I didn’t even have to program the key. I used the old key sensor.
