This thing is not safe.It's wobbly and not sturdy at all.Instructions are terrible and hard to understand.Don't waste your money.

I bought this for the pool with the intention on using it backwards, so that my elderly Mother would be able to get in and out of the pool safely. I knew it would need some adjusting (since I'm not using it as intended), but I had NO IDEA exactly HOW MUCH extra work it would need. First, the only place the stairs connect to the ladder is on the top of the handrail. Not very stable at all, had to add bolts into the bottom of the feet, to secure it to the stairs. Second, the tray that holds the sandbags (snaps together) is the only thing securing the sides to the stairs. We added a metal bracket to the side to insure it stays together. I still gave it 4 stars, because I knew what I was getting myself into, and even tho it needed extra hardware to make it more secure, it seems pretty sturdy. All the pieces were there, and it is pretty easy to put together with just a rubber mallet, a drill and a screw driver. Mom can now access the pool safely. Just hoping it lasts as long as our pool.

I looked for a long time for a ladder I thought would replace the one the kids broke. The ladder came sooner then expected. The assembly instructions were poor but I believed we put it together correctly. The ladder was placed in the pool and the sand bags were placed under the ladder to help it stay submerged. Going up the ladder to get in the pool was fine, the problem came when I would do down the ladder into the water. The steps didn't seem to settle on the bottom of the pool and would shift under my feet making me feel like I was going to fall or the slim plastic hand rails would break. When getting out of the pool, I made sure the ladder was pushed up to the inside of the pool wall. The top rails are flimsy and I didnt feel they could support my 250lb frame. Going down the stairs out of the pool also felt wobbly. We moved the ladder to several different areas around the pool where the soil was higher or lower (the yard has a grade to it). We also tried to raise and lower the level of the ladder without any improvement. The company was very kind and helpful and I had my refund 2 days after the boxes were returned. Nice folks!! I would do business with them again.

I bought this as a disabled person as an easier means to get into and out of the pool. It’s awful. It’s wobbly and the inner and outer ladder/stairs only connect at one point on the upper handrail. The up ladder feet slipped off the lower ladder while my 12 year old was getting in so it’s not like their was too much weight on it. It was so wobbly I had to be helped down. Then you can return it but I LT if you can find a box to package it back in (it’s packaged in such a way you have to tear the box to open it. UPS can create a custom box for you at the cost of $100. Save your money. The ladder that cam with the intex pool is actually much sturdier.

I am recovering from broken knees and needed something sturdy and stable. Not it.

This was the hardest thing to put together hardly no instructions and to big for above ground pool
