Highly recommend this coil with the pertronix 009 electronic ignition for air cooled vws
Not shure if it's a bad batch or something else but since they do not make the bosch blue coil any more we had to buy this coil since its the best you can find but we had 2 of them fail about a month or so of working not shure why we run these with pertronix electronic ignition I guess out of 10 we put on 2 of the fail in my case I keep a spare one just in case and the old one too

2 years still going strong!!
still works great on my old ford 800 series!! wow been 2 years nearly!!!! I also got compatible spark plugs and compatible spark plug wires to compliment this coil!!

Awesome Replacement for Bosch Coil!
PerTronix Flame-Thrower coils never fail to amaze me on how well their products have improved classic Air-Cooled Engine’s idle stability! Coil is very easy to install with ‘+’ and ‘-‘ indicators on each terminal, as well as detailed instructions included. Would buy again.

Rubbish packaging from seller
These are good products, but dispatching several items with no packing in a plastic bag is just stupid. The whole lot arrived loose with all separate pieces rattling around in a bag and a big dent in one of the coils.

Arrived on time and with instructions for different use cases. very much needed upgrade for my 65 Mercury. spark went from dull and orange to bright blue and full of life.
