RCBS TM Primer Pocket UNIFORMER Large Pistol, Carbide

Reloading once fired brass with military crimps? I utilize this and the RCBS primer pocket swagger to do the trick. I use primer pocket swagger first, then install the RCBS crimp remover tool along with the RCBS primer pocket uniformer on my Lyman case prep station and I am able to successfully correct all my brass that has military crimps. It seems the only way to really remove them without getting the primer pocket uniformer (this tool) stuck is to perform the operations in this order- Primer Pocket Swage, Primer Pocket Crimp remover, Primer Pocket Uniformer (all RCBS). The primer pocket uniformer has a carbide cutter that remains sharp after 1000's of cases and has a lifetime warranty. Note: The Large Pistol primer pocket uniformer has different dimensions than the 'Large Rifle' primer pocket uniformer (so you will need both if you have both types of brass).

Doesn't seem to cut very well, compared to my Sinclair PP Uniformer.

Glad I bought this item, as it saved me from a possible premature primer detonation in my reloading press. It does a very good job of cleaning out the primer pocket making all of the cartridges a uniform size to accept a primer. The problem I would have experienced if not having this little tool was when I was using it on 45 ACP brass. I came across several pieces of brass that the tool head would not fit inside of the primer pocket. When looking at the base of the brass they were of "Blazer" manufacture, which apparently use a small primer instead of large primer as most 45 ACP brass uses. If I had not used this tool and went on to try and prime one of these Blazer rounds of brass with a large primer it could have ended badly.

I learned that a small rifle or small pistol primer pocket uniformer are identical, BUT the large rifle should NOT be used on hand gun cases as they are not the same. After getting this uniformer I tried a large rifle uniformer and then my new tool. Absolutely can see the difference. If you just shoot any cases you can pick up and merely are throwing lead for fun it probably makes no difference. If you load ammo for competition, this is the tool to use.

Works as good as the Lyman version but a lot more expensive. Still giving 5 stars because it works as described.

I have the lyman case prep station. I have used the lyman bits, and the burstfire bits, and RCBs is my favorite by far! It will actually cut my desired depth. The other ones I tried where not even adjustable, and it was a struggle to get them to cut the pocket deeper if it was needed. I have multiple RCBs case prep tools....and all of them are my favorite out of all the other brands I have tried. Makes me think ima ditch lee/hornady on my next set of dies and try a RCBs set 🤔

I really like this Primer Pocket Uniformer. It works great and saves a lot of time as well as blisters on my hand when using this in the RCBS "Trim Mate" Case Prep Center.

Works as expected; great tool for primer pocket uniformity. Would recommend to others. Had an adapter that screws onto the threads and then can be chucked in a drill motor for quick use.
