I wasn't sure this rail was going to work properly, especially after reading several of the reviews but I LOVE IT!!!!! This thing makes my life soooo much easier. I'm only 57 but I have not so great knees and getting (or TRYING to) get up and down from the couch is painful and a real scare and chore! I had to play the video in order to put it together- like someone else mentioned...those instructions "ain't worth a flip", lol. But other than that everything is all good. I no longer have to worry about falling or hurting myself while pushing myself up.

Worth every penny! I am now able to get up from the left side of my sofa. My right leg is stronger so I could always get up from the right side using my right arm. But I could not manage getting up using my left arm. Now I have the bars on both sides to push up off the sofa. Works great. Needed to review instructional video twice, but I assembled it with a little patience.

This works for me, except it is also difficult because I broke my leg and it's hard for me to get it to slide under the couch pillow in my current condition. It would be perfect if I had help.

This works exactly as I hoped. It's sturdy and fits in the sofa well. It is a stable help in getting up from seated. A great product for a reasonable price. Very happy to have it.

They came very quickly and was very easy to put together. Works perfect and really helped my mom get up from a squishy couch

Loved it until one handlebar broke.My husband was pretty good at breaking things. To clarify, he'd sometimes put a lot of pressure on things that I wouldn't have put so much pressure on. Sometimes it was hard to know if they broke because he was just a big guy and his first reaction if something seemed stuck was to push harder, vs. just backing off and trying to figure out what is causing the problem -- which would be my first reaction to a stuck thing. So we had a a broken dishwasher handle, a broken chair handle, broken recliner leg rests, and then this thing. Maybe some of those items weren't made very well, but I never had so many things break when I was single. So, I think the breakage could have been partly his fault.BUT ... this thing is designed to help people with mobility issues.It really shouldn't have broken, even with Mr. Clumsy using it.That's why I'm only giving it 3 stars.We had gotten good use out of it for maybe 4 months, though, before it broke. So I didn't try to contact the manufacturer or anything. And during those 4 months or so, Mr. Clumsy loved it! It did make it much easier for him to get up from the couch.

Watch the video before you assemble. I did. I tried to follow it but some of the holes are were very difficult to manueveur. In other words, made overseas and not totally up to par. I eventually got it together. Only hoping my 92 year old husband likes it.
