As a church we are divided here. Prosperity gospel has gone too far and many are no longer preaching the unadulterated word but instead immitate Tony Robbins and his methods of self improvements. Because of this, pastors of mega churches are becoming rich, and teach us to tithe for the kingdom... But many preach this that we may provide for their next jet, or church funded 8,000sqft house that they may dwell in comfortably without equipping with unadulterated teachings as found in this book.Please read this book as it serves as a great purpose in leaving behind what we have been taught out of ignorance and not out of pure Godly knowledge. In this book the famous passage of Malachi is clarified. Yes the same passage that we all have heard that makes me tithe out of fear and not with purpose. We have been funding personal lives for too long. Not all pastors are in it, many are noble! Nevertheless this is a refreshing book that will allow us to tithe and give with purpose and not out of compulsion as Apostle Paul teaches us. Sadly we mostly hear to tithe because we ought to be obedient.We tithe and tithe and never expeirnece an increase of knowledge or wisdom. No breakthrough tactics for improving our jobs, no medical breakthroughs, no revolutionary technology. Such things I believe belong to us. Now I know giving toward the furtherance/preaching of the gospel around the world and meeting the needs of the local church should be central or the motive.
