Got this the end of October 2019 and it fried in Jan 2020, less than two and a half months of use!!! I do two loads of laundry every Sunday and the occasional towels and sheets throughout the month! Not heavy use by any stretch of the imagination! This could have burned the house down! Inferior product and materials! I would not recommend! Thankfully the Amazon folks are refunding our money even though it was past the return date which was only 30 days.

I have an older Kenmore dryer that suddenly stopped heating. Remember to UNPLUG the UNIT and/or turn off the dryer breaker switch. Tested all the usual suspects of sensors just removing connections and looking for continuity (hint: check sensors with voltmeter, low ohm setting. Use alligator clips attached to your voltmeter leads if you can... just to make it easier ) . Looked at the coil and after a while pressed down on a section that proved to be broken. The most difficult part of the repair was putting the tube back in that contained the coil housing. I had removed the tube to make it easier to remove the damaged coil. There is a little lip on the coil housing on it that must be inserted at "just the right angle" to be able to twist the unit back into position. So, if you don't have to remove the tube to get the old coil out, dont'! Long story short. Put new coil in. Plugged power back in. Works Great! Since some of the sensors are difficult to get to, you might want to start with just removing the connectors to the heating coil unit and making sure there is continuity. If the resistance is infinite (i.e., coil is broken) it should show up right away. However, it was good to get the heating coil with the sensors in one package ... just in case. As always, see if you can find a youtube video that details the troubleshooting steps and check the documentation for installation (if you have it) that came with you appliance.

This was an easy kit to install and the price was great compared to Kenmore/Sears but one of the parts (thermal fuse) stopped working within 1-2 hours of the kit being installed. This was verified with a multi-meter. Ironically, the part that malfunctioned was the same piece that prompted the need to buy the kit to begin with. Although all other parts tested functioning, we had to return the whole kit just to get a replacement thermal fuse.

The fuse in the thermal cut off kit failed on the second load of clothes. I reinstalled the old parts 3398671 and 3390291.The thermal fuse sent (not the one in the kit) is rectangular. The correct one is round with ears for the mounting screws 3390719.The heating element is an exact replacement and is working. I will update my review if it fails before a reasonable time. My dryer is a Kenmore model 11060924990. I hope this information is helpful and thankyou for your interest.

Had a load in the dryer and a load being washed when the heating element failed. I immediately placed the order for a new one and they promised next-day delivery. It arrived when promised and I was able to install it and get the wet clothes dried by late afternoon. Installation was easy. The fit was right on. Quality seems good but it's hard to comment on that with any certainty until I see how long it lasts. Oh, and it was about 30% of the cost of the same unit from the Kenmore parts supply house.

Great value for the price. Looked exactly like the original part and fit perfectly. It came with a couple other parts that I didnt use kept original ones for now. One of the other parts that came with it didn't match the original part .but I only bought it for the heating element anyway and the other parts were just a bonus. The parts depot wanted over a hundred dollars for this so it was a great buy especially since it fit. Very happy with the purchase.

I bought this back in April and it took alittle bit to get here. Not a big deal I was in the process of moving when the original heating element went out. I bought this and I moved into my new house by the middle of May so I didn’t use my dryer right when I received the part but all in all I have only had this for 4 1/2 months and the heating element that I bought from this company went out. It’s very upsetting to say the least. The picture is the one I’m replacing now after 4 months of using I don’t even wash clothes every day only once a week and it’s only 5 loads if that a week. If not they are hanging out to dry.
