Really good
Although this devotional is geared to the younger generation, there is valuable insight for all ages. I like the practical ways Banning gives direction in how to press in to connect with God on a deep, daily basis. He uses excellent thought provoking questions, good examples of "world changers", and points us to scriptures which encourage us to see God's purposes in our and others' lives. I am using this guide with my two teenage kids. We read it together and then break off for about twenty minutes of spending time alone with God before starting in on school. Our college freshman introduced us to it, and she uses it for her daily devotionals, too.

Get this book in the hands of your teenagers!
Whether you are a parent, youth leader, teacher, coach, aunt or uncle - get this book into the hands of the teenagers in your life! I absolutely love the layout with personal testimonies, bible study, prayer focus, and great writing to engage with each day. I've used this book in youth ministry and have seen the fruit first hand of students coming alive to be all that God created them to be!

Maybe for Beginner or Novice Christian
The accounts were good to show how a person could apply Scripture. Each day was only a small number of pages. This is a 40 day study guide based on the author's book by the same name. It may be better to read the book before this. Each day he quotes from the book and you have no ideas the context of what he was saying of any in depth explanation he may have given in the book. The activation exercises were simple, but required time to hear from the Lord for His input. Overall I thought that this guide was for a beginner or novice Christian. Or if you like answering introspective question then this book is for you.

A great study in revival for this time.
I found this book to be very enlightening and true to what our world needs. Religion as we know it has not worked. There is real truth in every section of this book. it was well written and gives special attention to the individual roles each of us must play if our world is to survive. Anyone of real faith will enjoy this book.

a narcissistic theology for a narcissistic people
Well, Bethel Redding has done it again. They've put out another work of aberrant theology, and this one is quite the whopper.First, what can be said about an author who quotes himself so much? Narcissistic, much? But the main message is for the readers to look at themselves, and see just how awesome they are. “You were created to affect the course of world history. Everything else is boring!” Wow, aren't we special? Yeah, there's some sarcasm in that statement. “YOU HAVE BEEN AUTHORIZED AND EMPOWERED TO MAKE YOUR WORLD LIKE HEAVEN.” (p. 6). See how important you are? And that's just a couple of quotes from a book filled with this kind of stuff. To put it plainly, this isn't a work of Christian theology. It's a work of narcissism, where one narcissist feeds the ego of a bunch of other narcissists with false promises, false teachings, and a continual flood of ego-boosting rhetoric to make them think how great and wonderful and important they are. The Bible isn't taught, it's simply mined for verses and verse fragments that are taken out-of-context.I'll stick with sound biblical theology, “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the chief”.“As one reads the messages of today’s apostles and prophets this is a common theme. While they will tip their hat to acknowledging Jesus and loving Him, the focus of their message is very frequently on how important, how powerful, how impressive, this generation of believers truly is. This movement is perhaps the most egomaniacal, man-exalting movement to come along in the modern era.” Wandering Stars. Contending for Faith with the New Apostles and Prophets. (Kindle Locations 6366-6369). Liebscher's book is a prime example of how egomaniacal, man-exalting, and narcissistic this movement is.

This book is more than a 40 day devotional. It's a daily mindset changer and eye opener to the way things are supposed to be... on earth as it is in Heaven! It will inspire u to step up and be who you were created to be, a world changer.

Journey of a World Changer
I think this book is meant for groups of people, not just one. You need others to talk over the subjects that the author brings up.

Get ready to be challenged to transform the world.
Brilliant way to remind yourself of who God created you to be and how He wants to use you to transform lives, communities and neighbourhoods.Just enough thoughts to contemplate, grounded in The Word, mixed in with heartfelt testimonies. Not to be read cover to cover to be savoured and allow plenty of space to soak in Him.
