Q: Will this stand up to dog-nails? We have a 6 month old but also have 3 large, hyper-active dogs.

Yeah, so far so good with our dog. When he's excited he really digs his nails in. Someone's it leaves little marks/signs of wear but no real structural damage. I am personally not planning to display the mat for more than a few years so I don't mind little scratches and am confident the dog won't ruin it.

this was a gift for some else so unsure about this. I order one but a different style and it came with the edge

This mat color was so cute. We did need to by a second set for the size we needed shown in picture is a set quantity of 2. Perfect for laminate or hardwood surfaces to help baby learn to crawl and tummy time. The white squares did catch a little dirt but a wipe it was sufficient to clean it off.
