Adesso ACK-540UB - Mini Touchpad USB Keyboard for Windows with Wrist Rest,Black

The product was delivered promptly. I have been using USB touchpad mini keyboards ever since there have been mini USB touchpad keyboards and this is my second or third one of this particular model. It works like a champ and is like an extension of my hands and arms. I hate mice, but I love touchpads and this is as good as they get. I would buy it if it cost twice as much (thankfully it doesn't) because that is how much I appreciate its functionality.

Obviously this is not intended for typing essays or code. Works great for testing pcs in a servicing environment, laptops with keyboard issues or automated systems that use a PC. Also great for entering passwords during the android setup wizard with a usb otg adapter.

It takes too much pressure to push the keys, the keys are very noisy. I am teaching on televideo conference and taking notes and it is too noisy. The keys are plastic, high and take a lot of pressure- I found another keyboard that was more like a laptop with lower, quiet keys. What I did like was the touch pad location below the space bar like it is on my laptops. My new keyboard has the touch pad to the right which is frustrating to me but the lesser of the evils. I couldn't find one that had low quiet keys and the touch pad where I wanted it... I had to raise my lap top up on a pedestal due to neck strain from looking down at the screen all the time. anyway, I returned this keyboard.

The unit works but, the key layouts are not very intuitive. The mouse pad stop working after 2 years. Need a better quality pad.

I bought this in May 2011 and was quite pleased. It was perfect for me, right size, tracking screen in the middle, easy to use. It lasted three years.The tracking screen stopped working in July 2014 so I replaced it with this same model.In March 2015, nine months later, the tracking screen stopped working, so I replaced it with the same model.In May 2015, less than two months later, the tracking screen stopped working, so, thinking I had gotten a lemon, I replaced it with the same model.In July 2015, the tracking screen stopped working, and I finally learned my lesson!

I need a small keyboard w/ touch pad for work area. This is an excellent unit - 100% satisfied. Small - but comfortable feel as well. Recommended.

I ordered this keyboard because I prefer to use a touchpad rather than a mouse. The Adesso touchpad works perfectly and the glidepoint feature is really useful. You can scroll up or down simply by sliding your finger up or down along the right side of the pad. The size and placement of the keys is fine. The only thing that stopped me from giving a +5 rating is the key action. I'm used to typing fast on a laptop that has a very smooth, light action. The Adesso keys require a much harder touch and when I'm typing fast I tend to skip characters too often so that I have to slow down. Plus, I think the keys are quite noisy compared to other keyboards. The glidepoint feature makes up for the harder-to-use keys, but I would sure like to have both the glidepoint AND quiet keys with a smooth light touch.

An excellent keyboard and touchpad. The extra cost is well-worth the increase in size and usability. We have two in the shop.
