After a few frustrating minutes trying to get this to mount the way it "supposed" to work I finally figured out how to make it work for me. I didn't push the "foot" in to ride inside the drive wheel. Instead I left it out, wrapped the end with a bit of tape (sticky side out) and placed two small double sided foam tape squares on the edge of the drive wheel. Bolted it to the machine tight and now the crank is up against the drive wheel by friction, sticky tape and love ... or magic, take your pick. It will hold while feeding 8 layers of canvas, or some leather bits, or a combination thereof. Hey, it ain't janky if it works.

Works like the original. Remove gold decal and it looks like the original!
