Excellent for the price!
This razor is an excellent value. Provides a nice close shave without being overly aggressive. Seems to be made pretty well also. Lightweight and easy to change blades. Really can't complain about anything considering the price point. Would be a great starter razor for someone wanting to get into wet shaving.

Classic beats modern plastic
I got used to buying those disposable plastic things at the supermarket. For years I used them because the only razor and blades I could find were still not the same size as the classic safety razors. Finally with this product I found what I was looking for. I bought extra blades and probably I will buy another one just to have a backup, or maybe one to give away one day to a deserving youngster. This is a high quality safety razor, it's sturdy and comfortable to handle, the blades are excellent, and overall it's a super product. I am getting the best shave ever. For me, this is the perfect shaving technology.

Often, Cheaper is Better
I have a comprehensive collection of vintage Gillettes & Schicks, along with a WeiShi and a Parker Semi Slant. With the right blade (not all blades work the same in all razors) I can get perfect shaves with no difficulty.Truth be told, I bought this razor for the handle. I have an even cheaper Chinese razor that is dimensionally identical, except the bottom plate is stainless steel & it has a lightweight plastic handle. So, swapping the bottom plates between the two, Ioaded both up with new blades, and did a left side vs right side of my face shave comparison.I have a particularly difficult to shave area on my neck under my jawline, and my test of a good razor/blade combination is to easily get this area absolutely smooth without nicks or irritation. The results were beyond my expectation, with perfectly smooth shave on both sides, with no irritation, nicks or difficulty. This is the same performance I get from my more expensive vintage razors. I was impressed. The blade I used is the Voshkod stainless, one of the cheapest blades available at Amazon, and the blade that I compare all other blades to. It lasts for more shaves, is smoother and works well in more different razors than any other blade I use.Recommendation: Buy one, even if you have a 'better' razor, you'll find this performs as well, or maybe better. It's ideal for travel, where, if you lose your luggage or leave it behind in a hotel, you won't be financially ruined. If you or a teenager are unsure about shaving with a blade, this will get you started. It is way cheaper than expensive cartridge razors, and with the skill you easily master, gives a better shave. If you don't like it, just give it to Grandma to use on her legs - she'll love the performance and the cost savings with the cheaper-than-cartridge blades. The head on this razor is thin, so it reaches difficult-to-shave areas better than most other pricier razors. It holds the blade evenly and securely. The chrome finish is well-done.It's an all-around winner.

Super clean shave. Painful to use - lots of cuts.
My father used a double edge razor. He didn't have these overpriced plastic disposable 5 blade polluting cartridge razors back then in the 1970s and 1980s. I bought this to try the experience my dad had using these double edge razors. The device and blade does give a great shave, far closer than those 5 blade $4 cartridges. But it takes some getting used to. I get cuts and bruises. Possible it is the quality of the blade itself that ships with this product.

Not too aggressive
I've been using a cheap Dollar tree safety razor for about 2 years, and to be honest, it's pretty good. But it's very very aggressive. I recently bought some sharp blades and the combination of the two ended up being too aggressive for me. I bought this one, put the same sharp blade in, and it felt less aggressive... but shaved just about as close. Overall I'm really happy. I might buy two or three more on AliExpress as backups just because it really is a good razor for the money. If you put this with a smooth cutting blade, I think you'll get a perfect shave every time.

Good razor, but difficult to use after cartridges.
This is a nice razor. It is easy to load and holds the blade in the proper position. However, it did not give as good a shave as my Mach III, probably since I have not used this type of razor for almost 20 years. I had bought it in case there was a shortage and I could not get Mach III cartridges, which is very plausible in today's economy, but realized that I would have to stock up on blades so decided to stock up on Mach III cartridges instead.

Pleasantly Surprised
Coming from a couple Merkurs - which I found to be much too mild. I needed too many passes and too much pressure. This razor was a nice step in the right direction. Gentle and efficient. It cuts right through even long beard hairs, but it isn't too harsh. It's a thin head and lighter than my Merkurs, which took a little getting used to, but it was a short and fast learning curve. I love how the head has little nubs on the corners to make sure the blade is aligned. For this price, every wet shaver should give it a try. If anything, it could be a nice back up. I've got about six shaves in with this, and I think it will be my main shaver. I'll update if anything changes.

Defective by Design
I have been using 3 piece DE razors for many years. When I started shaving, I used my father's WWII issue military simplex. When I opened this package up, the razor felt cheap and lightweight. The handle was shorter than the one I was replacing. For my first shave today, I used a Feather blade that I had recently started.I got quite a few nicks, despite being diligent about using a light touch. The reason is that the blade can rotate while using it. The head only has the center point instead of the usual three point grip on the blade. One depends solely on the tension from the handle and that is just not sufficient.I will be ordering a replacement or shopping a brick and mortar store so I can see before I buy.
