Aladdin: Far From Agrabah

A sweet, standalone story of Aladdin and Jasmine to accompany the upcoming live-action film
I've been looking forward to the live-action remake of Aladdin and was eager to read this when I heard about it. Needless to say I finished it the day it came! It's a short story based off of when Aladdin and Jasmine go on their iconic magic carpet ride together. They do refer to some earlier events from the film, but they give enough information so that you're not completely lost as to how they got to this point (and they make a few references to events that I *believe* is exclusive to the live action version but I won't be able confirm that until I see the actual film).Overall I really liked it! I could almost see this being a spin-off in its own way, and it doesn't do anything to contradict the original story as far as I could tell. I almost wish we could somehow see this story told in another visual medium. But if you're interested in other stories within the Aladdin universe (especially if you have younger kids also interested in Aladdin), you really can't go wrong!

Fun to Read A Story Within A Story!
This book, Far From Agrabah, fits right into the story of the 2019 live-action Aladdin movie. It's a story within a story! It's all about Aladdin and Jasmine's adventures on the magic carpet as they travel to Ababwa to see the kingdom Prince Ali is from. It is really clever and goes more in-depth into the relationship Aladdin has with his parents before they passed away and his relationship with Jasmine. The chapters go back and forth between Jasmine and Aladdin's perspective. I definitely enjoyed it! It's a good read for any Disney fan.

Beautiful short story of a magic carpet ride
This was a really unexpected beautiful story. Its a very nice compliment to the new Aladdin movie, so watch the movie first. It shows a deeper side of how Aladdin and Princess Jasmine began to fall in love. Also, love the other short stories of the one who can speak to bulls and the sultana's quest for love through a painting.

Magic carpet ride
At the beginning I thought I would be bored rereading a story I already knew. As I kept reading I realized that this story filled in some gaps from the story we all know and love. What else happened on that magic carpet ride? This story took that moment and created a unique story around it!
