Does the job
I have been looking for the solution of the problem of keeping birds and leaves out of the pond for a number of years. This has now done it.Iued to have a lage net over the top but that caught and held the leaves and the snow. But did stop the birds, this keeps the leaves off and because of the design they then blow away. The birds can not get under the next. The only problem is feeding the fish. Would be nice to have some sort of flap somewhere.Need 2 people to set it up. Comes with pigs and ties to hold it down and in place. We'll with the money

Replacement Cover
We’ve had the same product before for several years but unfortunately the sun and weather had weakened the netting , no hesitation in replacing it for the same product as great value for money.

Spoils the view of the pond
I purchased this through another supplier hence the reason its not an amazon “verified purchase”. Think it was a few pounds cheaper from the other supplier but not much in it. I have had this netting for approx. 18mths so I am in good position to review it.First the good points1. It certainly stops predation, cats and birds. Not lost any Koi for this reason since it was installed. Very worthwhile as I have several koi with a few of them in the that are £100’s apiece. There’s a pet cat nearby, Maine coon, that was not adverse to actually standing in the water on a sloped edge fishing.2. Stops all the leaf fall/ debris into the pond. My pond is in a well established garden with lots of trees and bushes so an excellent job there.Installation1. As one of the other reviewers has pointed out it really is a two man job to get it properly sited and there is a lot of excess netting for smaller ponds. Not too arduous taking my son and I about 30mins to get it set up and in position. My pond is an unusual shape, curved parallelogram, approx 12ft x15ft with a raised wall construction. The net covers this but I still have excess net. If your pond is level with the garden you can hide this excess by anchoring it into the surrounding grass with the supplied pegs. Not possible in my situation. You could trim the excess.2. Prepare for the same issue when removing for pond cleaning etc.Aesthetics1. Not brilliant, worst feature. It’s a bit like looking at the Louvre pyramid balanced over your pond. Without the beauty of the Louvre.2. The mesh size is quite small a 5mm x 5 mm. Although being very effective this does considerably obscure the view of the pond and make it difficult to appreciate the pond. It produces a very hazy view of the pond and if your fish are more than 1 or two feet under the water you will find them difficult to see. You will notice that the supplier picture is deliberately taken from a very overhead angle which reduces this problem. That’s true, if I look out a second floor window the view is much better. However as I don’t look at my pond from the second floor and I’m not an 8ft giant then that’s not the solution.Durability1. After approx one year the netting is suffering a fair degree of light fading and has gone from a solid dark black to a lighter grey/black. I live in Scotland and its fair to say not teaming with bright sunlight, so if you live in the south this might be accelerated. I actually find this lighter colour is much worse for obscuring the view. This effect is most noticeable on brighter days. The best viewing of the pond is now during dull/overcast/rainy days. The view for me is the most disappointing feature.2. There are several small holes which have appeared in the netting. Typically one or two mesh cells have burst together, so anywhere between 10mm -15mm size. I’m pretty sure I didn’t create these holes by snagging as some of them fairly high from bottom of net. Might be an age related affect.3. One or two much larger holes 30mm diameter. These might be due to the aforementioned cat or possibly small holes being stretched by wind flex etc and burst into this larger size. I’m not sure.Would I buy again?Probably not. While it does a great job preventing predation and organic matter ingress. The lack of pond visibility is for me the most off-putting characteristic. You don’t spend £100’s or £1000’s on a pond for a poor view. I will need to look for some other method such as a combination of plastic spikes for the perimeter and the low voltage electric fence wires, on a trip circuit breaker, suitable for small animals and birds that you can purchase. Several thin wires securely strung at height across the pond will stop herons etc

Works so far,
So far so good for keeping the herons at bay .the shape allows leaves to fall off and not settle.it doesn't squash plants, and the heron can't sit on it to peck holes through.my only criticism is at feeding times it is a nuisance un pegging the net.It isn't cheap and with a little thought could or have a small zip or pocket to be able feed fish easier.

Heron proof
I ordered the pond shelter after I lost a number of fish to a Heron, even though I I had used a net to cover my fish pond I still had casualties. It arrived very quickly and with the help of my wife, we soon had it erected, even though my pond is shaped and with different levels, it was easily covered. I have kept a lookout for the Heron but it hasn't even visited my garden. Well worth the expense, no more sleepless nights

Perfect
Just what i wanted, maybe a bit big as there was lots of un needed netting but not an issue, i guess it would fit quite a large pond, but its keeping all the leaves out of the pond and the wayer is definitely clearer
